Copper fungicide for powdery mildew on Rex begonias

I have powdery mildew on about 15 rex begonias and a few canes. Many have lost all of their leaves. They sprout new ones, only for those to be affected as well.

I sprayed initially with a fungicide containing Chlorothalonil, twice, with no effect.

I’d heard copper fungicide was the serious stuff, so I ordered that and mixed it up. Begonias are mentioned on the label, but not powdery mildew on begonias.

Is there anything I need to know before applying this? It is well below freezing out, I’ll have to spray indoors. I usually spray plants in my shower and let them drip dry in there. The solution is bright blue, will it stain anything it gets on?

I know good air circulation helps; it’s winter in the Midwest, there’s not much of that. This got well started before I could deal with it.

I don’t want to lose my whole collection, I’m hoping I can save them with some help and guidance.

Thanks!
