How to get red wine and blood stains out of my tablecloths?
Comments (8)My cousin uses resolve carpet cleaner sparingly (and rinses with water right away) on wine stains in the table cloth because it worked so well on her beige carpet before. Works for her, but I've never personally tried it. And although this doesn't fit your situation right now, I absolutely swear by using peroxide on new blood stains in clothing and carpets. Not sure how that will go over here in this forum since I've just started reading over here, but having worked in the medical field for several years, we never went far from peroxide. We were always dealing with patients on a surgical unit which makes them prone to bleed. Never ruined a smock the entire time I worked there even after many unavoidable events with IV's and such......See Morehow to get blood and water stains from micro fiber couches
Comments (5)Lynn - I have a microfiber couch and when I saw a water ring, I took a clean, dry stiff brush (actually an old toothbrush) and lightly rubbed the outline of the water ring. It worked...you might want to try that. I think if it did not, I would rewash the entire surface of the cushion with the same product you used initally. That should eliminate a ring, and make it all look the same. I hope your kitty is ok. That must have been quite a scare....See Moregetting blood stains out of cotton sheets
Comments (12)I use 10 year old Asko 220V machine. I treat blood with Resolve spray (I think is the name) which used to be Spray and Wash. Then I wash with Tide HE plus Oxyclean at 160F plus temp. Never had any problems with stains. Oxyclean is predomantly Hydrogen peroxide as noted above. On tough blood stains, I have put oxyclean with mixed with water directly on the stain and soaked over night. I often soak my kitchen towels in Oxyclean and it is amazing the what comes out of the soaking... I am not sure if I helped you or not since most people cannot wash their clothes at a higher temp. This is why clothes were "boiled" in the olden days, to get the stains out.... The Asko washer always starts with cold water. Then the water is heated to a temp set by the machine (up to 200F). The machine cycle takes about 2 hours. No kidding. The warm/hot water sets in the stains before the chemicals have had the chance to do its work. Any type of protein stains get set into the fabric from the hot water....See MoreHELP to get out a stain!
Comments (5)Try this. Make sure you get the Original ivory liquid dish soap not the ivory joy. KT Stain Remover 5 min 5 min prep 1/2 cup clorox 2 powder bleach 1/2 cup ivory liquid dishwashing soap (original formula) 1. You can make this using any amount of"ingredients", as long as the Clorox 2 Powder (it MUST be the powder) and Ivory dishwashing liquid are mixed in equal parts. If "Ivory Joy dishwashing liquid" continues to appear, be aware that this is IVORY not Joy liquid. 2. Add luke warm water to the mixture, enough to make a sudsy'bath' for your items. 3. Let the garment (s) sit covered in the water for at least one hour. 4. Check to see if the stain has disappeared. 5. If it is still there, soak until the stain is gone.ÃÂ...See Moremxk3 z5b_MI
