how do i get stains out of sheets that have been in plastic for a
Comments (1)I would suggest a solution of Oxyclean and hot water. Use the dry Oxyclean in hot water and let the sheets soak. Slosh and soak and re-soak with a clean Oxyclean mixture. It should not hurt your sheets and most likely will get them as clean as you can expect without damage. Good luck....See MoreGetting rid of Cardboard stains on new sheets
Comments (9)@dave1812 I'm not on my high horse (it's knowing where to draw the line). It's one thing when manufactures make big mistakes and expect you (the consumer) to "deal" with your decision to purchase their products and do nothing about it when a product fails due to manufacturing or defective parts. But it's another when an honest mistake is made by the consumer that looks to point fingers at everyone else and expects everyone else to compensate for their own error. My mother raised me to be responsible for the errors of my ways and not hold someone else responsible. I'm sure either the store or manufacture would "be happy" (not really) to reimburse or replace the sheets because this is unfortunately the world we live in now. Where people think everything is someone else's fault. When in fact we are sick of dealing with you and the complaining and just want you out of the store. Personally I would suck it up and chalk it up to a lesson learned and not make that mistake again. That is what jockewing is doing here, trying to get legitimate help on removing a stain they accidentally caused. Jockewing isn't looking for a hand out but a solution. By the way jockewing, has the staining lightened up any?...See MoreEgyptian Cotton Sheets (WHITE) Wash Temp?
Comments (68)Whirlpool - nothing the matter with that routine. My household sheets are washed weekly at 158F, with a 5 min bleach at the end, triple rinsed and dried. Zero problems here. My household Towels which are used once are light soil and washed at 120F 15 min. Wash and 5 min Bleach with two rinses and a finish softener in the third. They come out better and softer than using a Sanitary cycle, and just as clean and sanitized with the bleach. Zero problems again. Ya have to do what works for you, but my personal opinion is I process the laundry in the most cost effective, time efficient manner while ensuring excellent clean, soft, and sanitized laundry....See MoreFound Some! New, Crisp, Cool, Cotton Percale Sheets
Comments (97)I have some of the Target Threshold percales. One set was returned a month later as the fitted split down the middle, another was returned several months later falling apart at the elastic. Some of the print ones are rarely used but are ok...a white fitted that's used all the time is shredding at the elastic corners..Threshold has several makers, some are made in China and some in India. some of the exact sheets feel ok in the package and some feel like parachute fabric. Although with sheets now being treated with different chemicals like insecticide you really can't tell how a sheet will really feel until its had a number of good washes. All in all most of the Threshold sheets are worth buying, they arnt expensive so I guess if you use them regularly and they last a year its all good. Personally I feel sheets should be an investment, buy a few really good quality sheets and your set. I only use vintage percales, 100% long staple cotton....love them....See Morejaniceme
