Comments (33)Sherry, I meant "evil" in the very nicest rose enabler way. You could never be any other kind of "evil". Of course I do NEED both so I'm planning a fall order. Rose Petals has Alex in stock now so I just need to decide what else I "need" to add to the order. I'm thinking of waiting until fall, hoping that they have some of the "out of stock" roses back in stock by then. Since I'm putting in a garden at the church, DW is not cringing by my rose buying because I'm not putting these at my own house. It's my new philosophy. If you run out of room for roses in your own garden, start planting in someone else's....See MoreGive me strength...how do I tell him?
Comments (14)I wasn't afraid to tell him or worried about how he would respond, I just really wished the news didn't have to be told at all. I told him about two minutes after he got home. I told the boys to go do something and then said "I have bad news..." I didn't over state it at all. He and I have a very straight forward relationship anyway. That really is the only way I could have done it. After he processed it he cracked a beer, cracked one for me and we said a little toast. Then he started making phone calls. It was a shock for him to hear for sure. Not only is it sad news it is such disappointing news. Our thoughts went to the firefighters that responded to the call. The one that was the first to get their was very close to him. We are more worried about her well being at the moment. It had been a while since DH had had any contact with this guy, turns out his personal life had taken a turn in the last year or so. Still something like this sure makes you miss your old friends....See MoreSmith on Rankin

Comments (17)Wow Steve! Those roots looked like my tree's yesterday! Vladimir, i have another big one to transplant - a Persian lime. I suspect his roots are similar. I've had him even longer than the Meyer, but he was smaller when I got him. I'll try to clean out his roots even more. He was a pathetic little tree I rescued at a big discount years ago. I'll post pics of his roots when I repot him. He's going in a bigger pot as well. I am low on reptibark and have some ordered. I wish I'd ordered more when Amazon had it on sale......See More- 4 years agolast modified: 4 years ago
