What is the best way to fix this leaking sewer connection?

Eric

We have water leaking from the top connection of this 3" elbow fitting:

I believe this is the same part:

https://standardplumbingsd.com/2253-3-abs-90-ell/

Canplas 3" ABS DWV 90 Degree Bend, Part Number 102253

Approximate dimensions I measured were 6.75" x 6.75".

What is the best way to repair this connection?

My thought was to cut it out just outside of the two connection points and replace with something like one of these:

The dimensions of both of these connections are ~8.2"x8.2" so I think they'll work.

Is this the best way? Or is there an easier way to fix?

Thanks!
