in the main room you have partial white windows. I'd paint them all white so that it matches. even the door casing. you can leave the wood doors. as for the baseboards, up to you. your wood ones don't look too bad. It's just a whole lot of wood, especially if you're bringing in arts/crafts type of oak furniture. the floor is oak but the baseboards and trim look like something else. I'd prob do that living room/kitchen trim/baseboards in Alabaster. wait for the other rooms until you get everything in and see how it looks you have to admit, it looks much fresher.

@btydrvn thanks for your thoughts here - wrt the posts -- the dirt level will be higher than it is now --i.e. right now dirt slopes down to the house so there will be at least a little more dirt covering the posts. I hadn't though of covering the exposed cement at the base of the post though .. A raised deck is a possibility but I liked the idea of having a patio that was level and continuous with the rest of the yard.... in which case, I guess I live with having it look a bit unfinished with that cement showing? maybe some flower pots around? Other ideas?

The doors and knobs are dating the house. If it's in the budget, it might save you time and effort to replace the doors with a different style in a pre-painted door. Lever handles would also update the look. Then you would have to paint the trim to match. However, wood products are one of things affected by COVID shortages and price increases, so if you do decide to replace the doors, it might pay to wait a year. While gray is going out, you have an overabundance of beige which is also dating the house. So as not to break the bank maybe selectively replace some of the beige flooring? Before doing anything, try to develop an overall plan for your update. Even if you spread the work and/or expense over a couple years, an overall plan will yield a more satisfactory, cohesive result.
