Comments (23)I was able to find both at my local library and have them on hold. Before We Were Yours has one hold ahead of me. Walnut Creek, I asked that same question over on the KT Book Club at GoodReads and Chi said we'll start discussions on June 23, but she is open to suggestions from other members. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/19363337-and-then-there-was-none-by-agatha-christie-and-the-naturalist-by-and...See MoreMy experience with Trunk Club's
Comments (14)I wonder if you have to really commit to these services for quite a few deliveries in order for the stylist to really get to know you. Most of my clothing comes from Loft. I return probably half, but there is a small selection of petites in the stores so I really don't have a choice. I like that you are using Nordstroms. I think Stitchfix can be a mixed bag of low quality and maybe high. I understand that you are paying for a service, but it would still bother me to pay way over the cost of an item because it was chosen for me as opposed to me finding it at Marshall's. I have a friend who likes Stitchfix even though she returns many things. She enjoys getting a surprise package every other month, and some of the things that she has kept are outside of her usual staples which makes it fun....See MoreFunky's November Trunk Club
Comments (23)OK.. i have received my trunk and tried everything on. Unfortunately, the black pants that i declined then requested did not make it into the trunk :(. Also, the scarf sent was a completely different pattern that I did not like... so no further reporting on either of those. On the Fence.. need to decide over the weekend: 1. Vince Camuto Asymmetrical Sweater - I really didn't think I'd like this.. it definitely has a bit of that acrylic feel but it isn't too bad. It is BIG more oversized than i expected (and Vince Camuto often runs small on me). I am just having a hard time swallowing $124 for an acrylic sweater-- even if it is only a small percentage of acrylic. Still.. it's really kinda cute on. 2. Open Edit Relaxed Cardigan - This is also running big on me .. in fact, all but one of the sweaters was bigger than i expected. Still, i like it and it is perfect for this time of year. I am only on the fence about the whether to exchange for a smaller size. 3. Eileen Fisher Ribbed Cardigan - I do like this cardigan-- but not as much as the brown one i bought last year. The ribs are a little wider which I don't like as much. I love the color but still deciding if i want to pay the price or wait to see if it goes on sale as the holidays approach $248. Will I be crushed if it sells out before holiday sales? I don't think so.. but that's what I need to confirm before I return it. It's also a bit big. Why are all the sweaters big?? I don't think I've lost more weight. 4. NYDJ Marilyn Straight Leg Jeans - a size smaller than I've worn in the past which is good-- but i feel like if i lose more I will quickly size out of them. Also, i don't like the worn thigh look -- and I especially don't like the look on thick thighs. I could use a pair of jeans to wear until i lose some additional weight and they are on sale.. but I am betting I return them. For those who were waiting to see what I thought of the brand and style, I do think they are pretty proportional (not always the case with NYDJ) and there is a LOT of stretch so I think they could adapt to different body shapes. I pointed out the faded thigh/knee area but what I didn't see before receiving them is that there is some slight destruction in the upper left hip area. It's pretty minimal but for those who were considering them for "wear jeans to work" days, I wanted to point it out. I wouldn't wear even slightly destructed jeans to work. I would recommend the jeans.. just not this wash (Heron). They are slightly long-- I'd have to wear them with boots (i am 5'6" but with short legs) Definite items to return: Keen boot looked huge on my foot-- huge and wide like a man's work boot. Disappointed but now i know! Plus, I recently bought LLBean Moc booties so they will serve my needs for now. Returning. Eileen Fisher Funnel Neck sweater in Cypress - lovely textured wool fabric, i like the color quite a bit but the sweater was too boxy and shapeless. Not flattering at all. Returning. Gathered A-line tank - really disliked the pattern and who wears sleeveless in Nov? Returning. Birkenstock Suede Boot - i never shared this because i had no intention of trying it on.. and i did not. Returning....See MoreSo I gave in and got another Trunk Club
Comments (42)OK, a new day.. fresh perspective. I have decided to return the two items on the "maybe" list. Long-Line Linen shirt - I love the top, always love EF linen. I really want to keep it.. but I don't know when/how I would wear it. If I can't think of an occasion or outfit for it, then it has no business in my closet. If i come up with one-- well, I can buy it later. Blue Tencel Maxi Dress -- I tried it on again this morning-- this time with (ahem) a bra, sandals and various jewelry with it. I love it with chunky silver jewelry! The deal breaker is that the armholes are too big.. it really takes away from the look. A smaller size might work better but I am not ready to go down a size in the waist. This is one I may also return to in the future.. 15 lb from now. Let me know if you have ideas for the long linen top-- I'd love to find a reason to keep it. In fact, I love it so much that I tried to order one for my mom (she likes to sit by the pool but refuses to reveal her arms).. unfortunately, they aren't selling it in petite sizes....See Moremtnrdredux_gw
