Hi..what ideas can you give me for window covering in kids playroom?

Do you need any at all? if not i would leave them as is so the windows let in maximum light.

If you have a flood risk in the basement, I'd say something waterproof like tile or terrazzo. For the playroom area, put down a big cheap area rug (like a section of basic carpet that's not nailed down). Then if it floods again or the kids make a gross mess or spill, you can haul the rug out and get it cleaned, and the floor underneath will be unaffected.

May want to decide if you want boldness or softness - see below. It looks like the counters are on the softer side so would start there before choosing the other accent color. If you search Pinterest for “blue and orange (or tangerine or yellow) paint“ you’ll see the combinations that feel bold or soft and are complementary. Many include the paint names. Have to allow that lighting in room will affect their results, but at least they will have the same vibrancy.

Since it is for kids to play in, I would choose something a bit brighter, but, not so bright, that it cant double as a guest room too. I see a peacock painting against the wall, pick your colors from that painting, and a darker area rug, would be nice also, and wont show dirt or stains as much as a light one, when you have kids playing on it. Sherwin Williams Blue Iris, may be an option for you. It will go with the lighter aqua in your couch, and the peacock picture will look amazing with it.

If you can devise a way to keep the cords up high seems like roman blinds might be your best bet.

Glad you like it. I found the picture as an illustration of the idea, but i have no idea about window coverings specifically. Sorry I can't help with that.
