KitchenAid Dishwasher Leaking Water - Defective Pump Clamp Recall
Comments (91)We actually have two of these models, the other is now 7 years old at another house we own. We have always had good luck with KA appliances. Even after our bad experience with this one, we likely would have replaced it with another KA. Before this dishwasher we had an older Bosch that didn’t dry well (no heating element). My wife really likes this dishwasher. It cleans and dries well and holds a lot of dishes. We really didn’t want to replace it. Thanks also to everyone on this forum who posted pictures and comments. They were all very helpful. Forgot to mention the most important thing. Before attempting any appliance repair, be sure to get permission from your significant other! Mine couldn’t be happier....See MoreCove Dishwasher
Comments (121)Zero stars. Do not recommend a Cove. We replaced a perfectly good Kitchen aid (had 4 years, ZERO issues) with this when we upgraded our appliances to sub Z. Within 3 months of install it stopped draining: "call service" - after 2 months of waiting for service and living with a mildew stench, they came out and determined it needed to be completely rebuilt ("defective") so Sub Zero replaced it with a new one. Well, here we are 6 months later, the pods stopped dissolving completely and now it no longer drains.... "call service". Will request a trade in for thermador or Asko..or IKEA LOL. I wish this on no-one. For the price I paid it is painful to stare at as I stand there doing dishes by hand. Think hard about replacing a dishwasher that isn't broken with one of these ...esp not now with all of the supply chain issues and lack of service pros, repairs/replacements take months. I've heard up to a year. Updated post to include the model: DW2450 Manufactured 1 year ago, exactly! Happy anniversary! haha...See MoreCove Dishwasher

Comments (5)Wolf is new to this game, whereas brands such as Miele or Bosch have been building overengineered dishwashers even before I was born. Give them another generation of products or two, and I am sure Wolf is going to work out all the kinks in the Cove. But personally I feel this is not a product where it pays off to be an early adopter. Some of the horribly bad reviews on Houzz definitely bear this out. Building a dishwasher isn't difficult, as proven by the availability of basic sub-$500 models. Building a great dishwasher though does take a surprising amount of attention to detail, institutional knowledge, and many product iterations. And quite frequently, even with the good dishwashers, differences in households (water chemistry, choice of detergent, type of dishes, mix of contamination, ...) can mean that the same dishwasher works fine for one group of people and fails spectacularly for another group. A good design minimizes the size of this second group. For the price that Wolf charges for the Cove, you want to make sure that it isn't just OK; it has to be great....See More- 2 years ago
