Comments (12)Like Patricia, its the sea of asphalt that stops my eye. Then the jumbled plantings keep me from exploring further. The brick is not the issue, so you can save a lot of money right there. Tackle the real problems first. Have you considered taking your home in an Asian direction? Comments (21)have you decided what you'd like the final result to be? do you like the red brick and the vintage ranch style or would you like to modernize it? Now would be the time. As for the red brick, there are products like Romabio w/very little maintenance upkeep. their masonry paint is guaranteed for 20 years. and it's natural, a mineral product. If you took away the metal posts, added the cedar, painted the brick white, and did something like this, it would look amazing brick painted a deep warm charcoal, added wood elements and a bit more modern redos. Comments (6)I have a very similar colored house and am having similar issues. Our brick is beige but there is pink colored red rock appointments at the bottom. Someone painted the trim red prior to us, and it really brought out the pink. The red painted trim faded to pink. Bad idea. I was thinking of going white, like yours to lessen the pink tones. An interior designer told me sage green would lessen the pink, but I couldn't commit to that.
