i ordered the fridge, dishwasher and convection microwave for my kitchen remodel. the cabinet guys screwed up the cabinet for the microwave, so i ended up w/ a thermador MCES instead. i'm happy w/ the fridge,i especially like the refrigerator, but the freezer is a bit small. filtered water for dispenser and ice maker is welcomed here. but after a week the latch on the dishwasher wouldn't function. today it was replaced with the newly improved latch. apparently this has been a problem with the kude40 line. i will say it does a good job on dishes (i've had it full of dirty dishes for 2 weeks and ran it this afternoon..spotless everything).soooo...if you go this route, make sure they install the upgraded latch. do you intend to use the microwave as your range hood? (300 cfm seems a bit anemic for a 60,000 btu cooking surface) nice touch having a warming drawer though.

for fridge: Liebherr, Thermador columns. i think miele fridges are in the same $$ point as SZ. Range: what type of fuel are u planning? that would help to garner some responses. i have induction and would never go back to anything else. there are many threads on these subject. use the search box at top of page to find the threads..

I have had good & bad expriences buying from an outlet store or scratch & dent sale. I had a good experience buying a srctah -n -dent off a box floor sale. Stove still working 5 years, using daily. I had a horrible experience buying from an outlet store. The dish washer I bought still in box, but found out it was defective on 1st use. It kept locking half cycle, etc. I tried to return it 3 days later, but found out I had to do a bunch of hoops to try to return. What a nightmare. The outlet stor sent a technician out. Technician says it is defective motherboard & it would cost more to fix than exchange for new one. So, I called to return. Then told I would have to fix it, sold as is, nothing wrong, ignores, etc. I posted a bad review of experience, then finally higher management apologized & aaccepted return. So, after that I am weary to buy from an outlet. Like someone mentioned, a lot of outlets are returns from another customer. There's a reason. It may be wrong color, but if you see more of those models there, that's a huge red flag it's that model which must have smething more wrong with it. It could also be overstock, if lucky that is what it is. It's kind of a gamble. so due your deligence & research on each purchase to lower your risk: research each model # with manufacturer (like M suggested) read the return policy & contract fully buy where return policy give some time to use appliance & return if it does not work properly buy with credit card that extends warranty. Read all terms & conditions of buying "as is" products in all your warranties. Learn how the warranty works. Some warranties extend other warranty some offer to fix if shipped but you got to pay all shipping, some offer store credit or full refund. Some are a waste of money some are worth the money.

We just bought a new Miele washer and dryer in May. We filed for the rebate right away. We got the rebate credit notes last month but still haven't received the checks. Was on hold on their customer service line for 20mins only to be told I need to be transferred to the accounts payable. That was only a voice mail and still haven't heard back after leaving a message 7 days ago. I sent an email to a customer service person we contacted before and she promised on Tuesday to contact the rebate department and get some updates for us. It is now Friday. So reading here that some have waited 6 months for a rebate check is very disappointing for a company that makes high quality products albeit at premium prices. I guess they are no better than Bosch/Gaganeau with which we have had a terrible experience throughout their kitchen and laundry product lines.
