Can you help me identify two of my roses?
Comments (2)Yes, please, more photos. Only c. 25% of the identification process is completed by the bloom alone, the leaves, prickles, and growth habit tells much more. photos of - an18 inch length of a cane, showing foliage and prickles -the entire bush, to show growth habit with a ruler by both to show size would be very helpful. There are more than 7 thousand different types of rose, so getting an I.d from photos of blooms is unlikely unless they are one of the very most common types of rose, such 'Iceberg; or 'Knock Out' Thanks for posting photos of your roses, they are very pretty. Comments (1)Hi GardnerPhotographer- Your flowers are very pretty, but I don't know what they are. It is very difficult for even rose experts (and I'm not one of those!) to say what you have there just from pictures of the blooms. To aid with an ID, it would be helpful if you could post additional photos of the plant, especially showing leaves, buds, new growth, stems, prickles- anything that might help someone distinguish your rose from others that might have a similar flower. Also, if you can say something about how often the plants bloom, if the flowers are fragrant, or anything else that you've noticed that strikes you as an identifying characteristic. You may also want to post your additional photos to the Roses forum since it gets more traffic than the Rose ID forum. Good luck, Virginia...See MorePlease can you help me identify my rose bush?
Comments (8)Sorry but nobody is going to be able to reliably name a specific double pink rose cultivar using only a picture of one cut flower, without any pertinent background information. But do try the Garden Web rose identification forum - being sure to note the directions in the FAQ section of that forum about what to post for best possible results. Also which cultivar it is won't really have that much to do with how to correct the yellowing. If the lowest leaves are yellowing entirely and starting to drop off most of the time with plants in general that will be a watering issue - either too much or not enough. Again more background about the situation - and more pictures - are needed....See MorePlease help me identify my colleague’s old roses
