I've never had any problem with tile but would not use on wood. I moved into a house once where the finish on the wood floor in front of the sink had been damaged by a rug. I currently have some rubber backed rugs on the vinyl flooring in my laundry/back entry but it's not a color that you'd ever notice discoloring plus it will always have some kind of rug there. I always get the thicker area rug type rugs that have the woven back for places that I don't want rubber backing. I don't care for the thinner rugs with no backing because they don't stay flat and are a tripping hazard. I get a color that doesn't show every little thing and get them professionally cleaned once in a while.

Thanks for the info. DH has been removing some of the debris with a special net. Most of the big chunks of concrete were removed from the bottom, still dust. Concrete Pavers have to come and redo deck, since it rained on them the 1st time around. We are afraid to do anything w/o them walking us thru the proper care of the plaster, etc. as we do not want to lose our warranties. Tomorrow plumber should be here to walk us thru the do's and don'ts. I agree that the decking should have been done before the finish. Very poor planning from the PB! PB came today and did a walk thru alone (w/o us) and left a message that everything looks good and the "check please!" Not our first rodeo! Again thank you for the advice!

thejimbar, that is too funny. We are 100s here in Vegas and pool is 90 using a solar cover at night. We can usually start swimming in May but this year was late June.......... sigh ....... life is just getting back to normal. My son was attacked in broad daylight for the $10 bill in his hand and his jaw was broken on both sides in April. HIs jaw was wired shut for 7 weeks and I spent most of my time pureeing and straining food so he could "eat" thru a straw. He was unwired June 4 and it took a few more weeks before he could eat solid food. On a good note the pool was so warm from being covered so much, a few weeks ago he had a late night pool party for all his friends who got him thru all those weeks of pain. He's 23 and missed his birthday while wired shut, so DH and I rearranged the yard to they could swim and play beer pong ! It was new to me. 2 of his friends brought actual beer pong tables. We got away to San Diego for a few days last week for a late BD celebration and one of the bars on the beach had a whole beer pong room of tables. Anyway sorry for the long read. Finally getting to use the pool again, life is good. Barb
