Depends on what look you're going for - contemporary? Then spend the $ now on frameless doors and get them installed. More traditional? Then do a shower curtain(s) and frame your mirrors. It's not that hard to do (I did it with a huge jigsaw puzzle in ds's nursery) after the mirrors are on the wall, as long as there's room. Only thing is you want to paint the back of the trim black so you don't see reflection of the wood where it overlaps the mirror. A mirror will be thicker than the jigsaw puzzle, so you'll need to route a channel in the back of the trim pieces where it overlaps the mirror, or else the outer edge of the trim won't lie flat against the wall. If you don't have the carpentry skills to DIY, ask your finish carpenter to do it - I'm sure it'll be a lot less than $200 per mirror (42" x ? each). Do you have pics of bathrooms so far (vanities, sinks, faucets, lighting installed?) so we can see what style is? Of course, oceanna's solution is much easier to DIY and looks so pretty (but more casual/contemporary). As always, oceanna, your painting is beautiful! I'd love to see your whole bathroom!

As I have remodelled our bathrooms I have added more lights to them. I like to be able to light up a bathroom all the way from very dim to very bright. I have used a combination of sconces, recessed lights and decorative pendants/chandeliers, all on dimmers. Need to find a spider or clean ... everything on at full power. Taking a relaxing shower late at night ... just the recessed lights in the shower, dimmed all the way down. I like having options and flexibility in my spaces.

If this room will be used for makeup application, you want to make sure your lighting is optimized. (Natural light is best for makeup application but cloudy days and evenings require good lighting.) Overhead lighting as it appears in your elevation shot is the least flattering type of lighting because it casts shadows on the face. I've read that lighting should illuminate the whole face and this is best achieved by having mirror side lights. If your lighting stays as it is, the makeup wearer might appreciate a table top mirror with built-in lighting. Person's eyesight and habits are bound to dictate preference over a wall or tabletop mirror preference as well. Lighting placement then informs mirror choice. Frame or frameless mirror is a choice based on chosen bathroom style and owners' preference. (I hate cleaning the bathroom. As I'm planning our remodel, all my choices are dictated by cleaning ease. Love the look of ornate frames but they're a pain to clean so if I go with a framed mirror, the frame will be smooth and easy to dust.) As for the sink outlets, think about all the appliances you use and where they'll be stored. Toothbrushes? Hair dryer? Razors? Perhaps you'd like to hide these outlets with storage drawers?
