I think my favorite is that Fluffy daylily!!

what a gorgeous clump of My Heart Belongs to Daddy! And Mint Octopus!!mine are still spitting out by ones and twos so I won’t see a clump for a few more days. Dancing Jubilee has a nice edge, doesn’t it? And The Dark Side colors are really deep. Lots of goodies here!!

Today, I got the girl's name and found out where she lives from my neighbor with the grandson who I let come over. She said the girl is pretty wild, and not a good influence on her grandson. She once tried to get him to do tricks on his bicycle in the street. He is supposed to stay away from her. (She's older, anyway.) My neighbor said I shouldn't go to her house to get on better terms with her, as she will do what she wants anyway, and may interpret it that I am letting her come over after all. She said to wait until I see her near here again. Speaking of knowing what cats eat. I found out that her grandson had put another cat in with the tomato hornworm, and it ate part of the hornworm! Do any of you know if cats will eat each other? I was wondering if it was one of my Swallowtail cats that he put in with his. I guess he cried and cried, and his day said they'd let it go, and maybe it would grow new parts. Mary, part of me can't see how people would have the nerve to pick your roses, but another part thinks many people are clods when it comes to the appreciation of gardening and respect for others' property, and is not surprised. I'll look up the urica. :o) Living on a corner exposes you to the public. I hope they never put sidewalks in our yard! My in-laws had a fence they had to move because it was in the easement. Our back yard fence is in the easement, though, I think. I just know our shed goes out to it, and we can't build a new one because structures have to line up with the houses on either side of the lot. If our house burns down, I don't think we'll be allowed to rebuild. I do hope I see the girl soon, as I do agree I should explain why I was so upset. I think what irks me the most, is that by her telling the friend she hoped I wasn't outside, that meant she was knowingly, deliberately doing something she knew I didn't want her to do. Thanks everybody!! Yeah, I know about JB and soapy water, they drown in just water too. I was just too lazy today morning to do it. Nan's First Blush is a bit taller this year, 25-26" all scapes. I think it looks creamy white in the picture as this is how it looks. In the morning shade it looks whiter. JuliaNY, I don't know why but mine are way earlier this year. Prediction was doing this (fused) and doubling last year too, once in a while, usually by the end of blooming. About heat/sun tolerance - I checked on them at one pm (one!!!) and most of them were not looking good already, curled inward petals, 'cooked' color etc. So sad.

Gee, I thought I had answered later posters, but I guess not. Thanks to all of you who have commented on the clumps...Clown Parade has done beautifully for me for the first year, Dick, I have the sibling, Marilyn Lee Boch, but while it does well, Clown Parade is the better plant here. Billi, it seems odd that you will be getting warm when we cool off, but that is the way it is. Mantis, you know I have whined continuously about all of the weeding I've had to do; thank you. Debra, I figure I have to kill a plant three times before I give up on it. Hope AL works for you this time. Maryl, I wish that was Bermuda grass you saw. That bed has been weeded but not mulched , so I have to continually weed until it is mulched...that stinking grass is closs to a nut grass...requires digging out, but that is just a leader and I can pull it back. To all who like Philistine Champion, it is another wonderful plant. Julia, if you read this, how is your doing? kay

Wow, Autumn Min is impressive. Sometimes pictures just don't tell the story when all you see is a bloom. I know now I should have been looking at height, etc, but I have several daylilies that refuse to bloom the height or season supposed to. I love the look of Laura Harwood, but have not added that one because I had heard complaints of few buds, and canoeing. I got Cradle of Bethlehem because I thought it looks similar. Beautiful bloom, but will take another season or so to see how it does

Your clumps may come sooner than you expect, Kate. Mine did. I certainly didn't expect My heart Belongs to Daddy to clump as soon as it did. There was actually a third Clown Parade bloom but it was a bit away from the duo.

I suspect that the big bloom is going to be over sooner than they usually do their thing. And, by the way. we are swapping around with first blooms. Your Geometric Wizard bloomed a day before mine did, and my Mico hasn't opened a bloom yet. The shelf that Flufy is lying on is one of two above my desk. They used to have some of my items stacked on them but the battle went in favor of the cats.

Of course the battle conceded to the cats, just look at Fluffy, she deserves her throne!

That is a beautiful clump of My Heart Belongs.., will be a while before mine looks that good. I hope it blooms this year, but it is looking good! Beautiful blooms on all of them. Saw my 1st scapes on Clown Parade today. We are getting hotter, no rain predicted for about a week and had none since last weekend. I guess I will be watering earlier than 8 planned.

Thanks, Nancy. We too are having no rain and have had one little shower in the last week. None forecast for seven days. I guess I will be sprinkling again. Fluffy is a he, not a she but with all that hair...He is a love and will come to sit in your lap when you call him...he loves petting. I almost took a garden picture, but there really aren't enough blooming for that.

Nice group of clumps and singles and of course the pic of Fluffy. Mint Octopus: is stunning. Look at all those buds yet to open.

Thank you, Julia. Mint Octopus was a gift plant and I am so glad I kept it because it is a good one and always seems to rise above the foliage and tends to look good even after a day in the sun.
