I used measurements of a standard queen bed and 36” wide chest. You have plenty of room. Each of you gets a chest of drawers so no bureau is necessary.

No…if each of you has your own dresser, instead of a dinky bedside table, you will have enough storage for mentionables and unmentionables; and closet looks workable.

You might consider hiring a closet design firm to make the most of the closet, as well.

In a previous home, I had the same arrangement, two dressers serving as night stands, and it works great. One issue is that you have to get used to putting your phone, or book, or glass of water at a higher position. One advantage is that the side of the dresser prevents you from trashing about and accidentally hitting the items resting on top of the dresser.

If you do a window treatment, ensure that in the open status, the curtains covers the wall not the opening. Cheers!
