Help Designing My Lighted Master Bedroom Ceiling
Comments (2)You might want to do a search on "cove" lighting. The bulbs are typically hidden above a ledge at the perimeter of the tray, bouncing light off the ceiling to provide soft, ambient light without bright spots. You'll probably want to supplement it with other lights for reading or similar tasks....See MorePlease help me pick a 'spa' blue for my bedroom
Comments (12)Here are a few more- BM Palladian Blue or Wythe Blue (on the same strip in the historical collection). These seem a touch strong to me. Look at the BM strip that starts at color #701 "Swept Away"-love that strip. Similar to Palladian and Wythe but not quite as bold. Also the SW strip that starts with #6210 "Window Pane"-someone mentioned the color "Quietude" above and that's on the same strip....See MoreHelp Me decide on Paint Color for Master Bedroom/Bath
Comments (10)To answer your direct questions: Put the darker color behind the bed headboard and then decide if you want one accent wall (usually a lot of contrast) or if you want to have two walls each color. The Santorini Blue is not baby blue, but I would put a color swatch in your room to see how it looks in different light if you decide to go in that direction. Glass Slipper is more ice blue than baby blue. I LOVE the Santorini blue, but thought it was too dark to have on all four walls. Your bedding is very neutral and very pretty. When I look at it I think "irredesence" or opal. Everyone does this differently, but I tend to decide what I want a room to FEEL like and then go from there. For our bedroom I thought "sleeping in the clouds". Hence, I have blues, whites, creams and beige. For our bathroom I wanted "beach spa". I also suggest you look through the bathroom pictures on the bathroom forum. I found several inspirational rooms that worked with the tile and cabinets we had. I think one of the reasons you are struggling is that you are working with "what matches" instead of what look do I love. Love something, make it work in your room. Having said that, I think your tile would work well with blues, tans or many of the greiges. Whatever you decide, you are likely going to need an accent color since your bedding has wonderful texture, but only one color. Again, look at the bathroom forums pictures and here in gallary under "bathrooms". Which rooms catch your breadth or you say to yourself, "I want that feeling". Good luck!...See MoreMaster bedroom help .. Please help me select bed .. can’t decide !
Comments (51)I'm not a fan of any of those options...for various reasons. Mostly because the style/scale as well as the tone doesn't look like it would compliment the bed.....although without links hard to know. The Bernhardt nightstands in your pic from Haverty's are 40 W x30 H x21 D. That is why they don't look dwarfed by the bed. Do you have room to do something like the pic Penny posted? Basically a simple open rectangle with a sturdy leg? Another thing I'd consider is taking a look at kids' dressers/desks. Some are even similar in size and shape to the Bernhardt nightstands.... https://www.perigold.com/furniture/pdp/smiling-hill-4-drawer-dresser-sta6494.html?piid=17238112 Another approach would be multi-tiered side tables, not these exact ones obviously, but again something with enough heft and presence to play nicely with that bed....See MoreRelated Professionals
