Help Designing My Lighted Master Bedroom Ceiling
Comments (2)You might want to do a search on "cove" lighting. The bulbs are typically hidden above a ledge at the perimeter of the tray, bouncing light off the ceiling to provide soft, ambient light without bright spots. You'll probably want to supplement it with other lights for reading or similar tasks....See MoreShow me your ceiling lighting in master bedroom, please!
Comments (11)I completely agree with lynninnm and les. I hate overhead bedroom light fixtures and any place we have lived I have immediately replaced the ceiling light, if there was one, with a fan (with no lights). We use the fan year-round. Ceiling lights, no matter the wattage, are cold and harsh and you need additional lamps in the room anyway. We have night table lamps which are similar to the size we have on living room end tables and a floor lamp in the sitting area of the MBR. Warm lighting is so much nicer than a cold overhead light, imo, so enjoy sleeping with a fan and scrap the ceiling fixture....See MoreHelp me pick color for bedroom
Comments (3)BM Kennebunkport Green SW Khaki Shade Blues with dark brown screams Grandma to me, but I'm probably biased since my own had this color scheme. Would you consider orange? Not pumpkin or loud or gawdy, but a nice subtle mature classy looking orange? I have links saved on my computer at home with some examples of stunning oranges that the average person wouldn't think of as a wall color but once you see the pics they're quite adorable. Sherwin William has some nice subtle orange colors if you want to take a look at their color palette. It would also brighten up the room nicely. Here is a link that might be useful: This orange is nice...See MorePlease help me pick a 'spa' blue for my bedroom
Comments (12)Here are a few more- BM Palladian Blue or Wythe Blue (on the same strip in the historical collection). These seem a touch strong to me. Look at the BM strip that starts at color #701 "Swept Away"-love that strip. Similar to Palladian and Wythe but not quite as bold. Also the SW strip that starts with #6210 "Window Pane"-someone mentioned the color "Quietude" above and that's on the same strip....See MoreLee Baer
