I’ve had knobs, and I’ve had pulls. Much prefer pulls on all cabinets. I like the uniform look, and pulls are much more ergonomic. Also, as pulls stand away from the door, the doors tend to stay cleaner. When we renovated our kitchen (almost 6 years ago), I installed all pulls (from Top Knobs), and am so glad I did.

I have not found hardware with the backplate. The backplate is about 3 inches. I looked at menards, home depot, lowes, amazon, wayfair. I even tried just replacing the knobs and spray painting the back plate and it still doesn't look right. We are updating the house and I would prefer a more cleaner look of the kitchen hardware. Of all the issues we ran into with this house, kitchen hardware appeared to be the easiest update fix LOL.

Hi, I am updating my kitchen hardware as I do not want to redo the cabinets. I was tinkering between a champagne gold or black to replace the sterling. Found these pulls on Amazon for a good price. They are single screw. I like how the black blends seamlessly into the wood but am I wondering if the shape of the pull fits in with my cabinets. Looking for opinions on the black pulls and open to any other styles as well. Also, does anyone know what color my cabinets would be called?

It depends on style of the cabinets. I used a curved pull about one third the width. Others may want two cup pulls or other knob types. Finger pulls on the drawer tops are an option too.
