Comments (22)Lucille, red pandas are a different species to the giant (black and white) pandas. Red pandas are much smaller and are orangey-red and white. I love quokkas, we have often visited Rottnest. Quokkas are very friendly and not very afraid of people. When we have stayed in holiday cottages on Torrnest, often if we left the door open, the quokkas would come in for a "visit". If you think they're cute, their babies are adorable and are carried in a pouch on the mother's tummy like a kangaroo, as quokkas are also marsupials.
