can you post a picture of the roof color you're getter? pewter can have blue/gray tones, or brown tones Right now, in your picture, I see regular red brick paired w/a very cool tone siding color. almost looks like a lavender gray. which direction is the front of your house facing? North? East? let me show you a few before and afters , some of which have the replaced windows. see what you're drawn too this frist one did exactly what you want to do to your arch windows. Doesn't look bad. a slightly diff style home though. I like the addition in the gables, the painted brick, updated front door another one w/the rectangles. don't care for it here. I'd do a larger window (black one) and close up the rest of it this one is similar. they removed the arch and didn't replace it. covered it w/the shake. limewashed the brick, took down the arched entryway. added the shutters. looks a bit more french country a bit more modern w/the black windows, wood garage door. new windows (Rombio Classico on the brick) They kept the arch, but removed the grids. along w/the painted brick, wood accents, black windows, it really looks updated

Your only real option without replacing the windows would be to paint them. You can source paint that works for vinyl windows, however I'd recommend professional application for a variety of reason. That said, those windows look like an aluminum exterior as opposed to vinyl. Secondly, is the exterior facing side of the grids between the glass actually green? That's extremely uncommon if so, its hard to tell in the picture. While using heavier screen could mask that, it will also cut a lot of natural light. You could look into adding some sort of applique to the exterior. There are companies that specialize in decorative glass appliques such as "leaded glass" look, etc, I'm sure they could come up with something to install mimicking your grid pattern and covering the green. You could actually source the material used for SDL grids by manufacturers (installed with two sided tape), but it will be a tedious install and there may not be clearance where the sashes overlap (although it looks like there is). Installing "flat bar" material wouldn't be all that bad to complete DIY. there are kits that can be purchased as well, something like this: https://www.amscousa.com/Window_Hardware/Grille/Window_Grille_Kit.htm  With all of that said, to get these looking nice on the outside with a pro paint job and whetever is applied to the glass won't be an insignificant amount of money. I'd make sure that the windows are good enough that you would keep them for another decade+ before spending that.

Here's a house similar in style to yours... The colour of the stucco in much lighter than yours although not white. I think you need a bit of contrast with your white windows, this is a nice example.

All great comments! Stone is mostly tans/beiges with hints of white and grey. We've done a light and a dark tan (current color), which could have "aged" the look of the old facade. I was thinking a grey tone would give an update. A balcony with additional lights would definitely improve the look but alas that costs more than our budget. Thank you for the spot-on pic as inspiration for some day. Our door is like that in the pic, except on the left side.
