Please help to identify this old rocking chair...

I purchased this rocking chair recently from a respectable senior lady who is downsizing in order to enter an assisted living facility. She said that she had got it as an antique from a local farm auction around here in rural western Canada at least 50 years ago, and that she was told by the previous owners it was almost a century old at that time. It appears to be oak and veneer (in places), and there are no labels nor markings. The colour in the first photo is the most true to life. The seat bottom is an oddly textured, almost pressboard looking material that has been there since before the previous owner. It may have been replaced at some time, but certainly not recently. I rather suspect that this may be a vintage reproduction, which is fine by me. I like the chair overall - it is sturdy and comfortable. Any help would be appreciated to identify the style or tips on what to look for to verify it's age.
