Comments (5)She's just so amazing. I don't want to ever forget her. Or the spirit of those children. I'm really amazed at how wonderful the kids around me are. I don't know if I am just lucky, or in the right places, or what?! But my son's classmates at every school have been stellar, out and about they treat each other with such caring kindness, or church... everywhere. All of them. Perfect manners, wise words, they blow me away! Each generation has said, is this our future? But I say, this is our future! Our world is in great hands if they're gonna take over. Must've skipped a generation. My mom's generation has done great things and continues to, and my son's generation, will too....See Morenew: obf - april- worship the green goddess
Comments (85)Good Morning Goddesses!!!! Another beautiful summer day here in North Carolina! (we skipped spring) High 80s in the forcast for today! My TBIris are getting buds (many are already blooming in the area, but mine are right on schedule for this time of year! The spirea and lilac are blooming and the daffies are winding down! All of my veggies are up and waiting to be moved into the garden Life is good! Has anyone heard from Treasa, we haven't heard from her since she signed up! Theresa best wishes for your upcoming proceedure! I think we are all eager to learn how it goes! I will not be participating in the swap, unfortunately we have had a bit of a setback, it is going to leave us on a very tight budget for awhile. (it could have been much worse) Maybe a long while, I hopw you will all understand, it could be some time before I am able to swap again. But no worries, this swap is still on! I am going to e-mail Treasa and see if she is still participating. Any last minute participants will have until the end of the day to sign up and send me their goddess info! I will post the goddess info in a new thread and get the selection process underway tomorrow! Have a wonderful day everyone! We now have 10 Glorious Goddesses to make our Spring Gardens flourish! Comments (110)i am having a lot of fun with this game. cindy and carol, on #2, i laughed so hard at your answers. i will say cindy's mind is working towards the real answer. i am wondering if anyone will ever get it. just think of all the actions a dentist does to prep you - well, at least my dentist does it (and dang, is he one good looking man !!!!) amy was the closest on #1 and then shirley answered it correctly. #3 i might take some liberties with, because several of you are close, but i guess it's tough if you don't know her name. i think i've only used it two or three times in previous posts. finally, someone got my shoe size. the right answer to 4 has been guessed and answered correctly twice today, although in different words. so now, 1, 4, 6, 7 and 10 have all been answered correctly. and carol, yes, the razor was a great gift and to this day, i still use the same kind. i'm starting a new post where partners will be assigned. i'll post this over there as well. maryanne...See MoreSS Daily Support, Monday April 4 - Sunday April 10, 2005
Comments (29)Hey! Have a great weekend, everyone! Friday: Went to a garden party at the local nursery. Dress up affair with wine, appetizers and desserts while strolling along, looking at the new spring plants. They had a cool smooth jazz band. I met up with a gal pal there and it was fun! Saturday: Having a luau bday party for my 9 yr old. Starts at noon with hot dogs, SUN chips, and Capri SUN drinks, along with bday cake and Hawaiia music! Then we're playing Aloha sack races, pin the coconut on the tree, the wrapping paper game, limbo. After that, I have a video of "How to do the Hula". We're having everyone dress Hawaiian and greeting them at the door with leis and then taking their picture. While the party is going, my DD is going to print the pics and put them in little Hawaiian shirt frames and place them in the goodie bags, slong with Aloha mints, bracelets, and blow up beach balls. I have little Hula bears and other fun stuff for prizes. It'll be a fun day! At 3 o'clock, I'm going to veg out and crash!!!!! Sunday: Picking up my kids' cousin for the week (spring break) and we're heading for the Oregoin coast for a week. Life's a beach! After picking her up, we're going to visit my friend with the twins. The teens will watch the twins while I and my girlfriend clean house and help her get ready for a garage sale she's having next weekend. Sunday night, one of DH's friends rented a place and is giving a slide show. He's a photographer who travels the world and his shots are really awesome. It should be a GREAT show! Monday, first thing in the morning, I'm off to the coast! DH is putting together a new laptop for me, so I'm going to try to check in a couple times by wireless connection while I'm gone. Make this weekend a good one! PS: I forgot to mention, LAUNDRY!!!!! In between everything, there's the ever-present laundry. Raeanne???? Are we still doing laundry together on weekends? Here is a link that might be useful: Seth's pictures!...See Moreyoyobon_gw
