vacuum cleaner recommendation please
Comments (19)It is not "overkill" to make an expensive purchase of a vacuum cleaner. What is "overkill" is purchasing an upright when you only have floors. There are alot of good quality canister vacuum cleaners out there to choose from. A cheap $30 vacuum cleaner may be all that you need, for the time being. There are other things to consider in a vacuum purchase like reliability, performance, features, ease of use. A $30 vacuum cleaner is not going to be the same as a $100 vacuum or a $150 vacuum. An example would be that many more expensive models would have better attachments than the ones for your brand of vacuum cleaner. When looking for a vacuum cleaner, do not look at the price. Look at how you can get the best vacuum cleaner that you will feel comfortable with using through the years....See MoreCan you recommend hand held vacuum for furniture?

It worked, worked for years then the motor finally went kapoot and the sweeper store guy said it wasn't worth fixing. A new one would cost almost as much and they are better made these days anyhow. So I went online and bought one, it came with a supply of bags too. They hold alot and it's much better than the mess of a bagless in my opinion. The Dirt Devil has two speeds and its very powerful on pet hair, I have a cat. I use it on the rugs in the library and the mohair furniture. I love it. Only disadvantage is bending over to sweep the rugs but I've even been known to continue and do the wood floors too! It picks up all the crud that falls in between the boards (old house)....See MoreI need a good cordless hand held vacuum ASAP
Comments (21)Oakley, I know this is more than $50, but DH swears by his battery powered Ryobi tools. I use this little gem all the time. It is very portable and strong. And HD will ship to you. If you dont like this, try searching shop vacs instead of hand held vac. There are several smaller ones. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-3-Gal-Project-Wet-Dry-Vacuum-with-Accessory-Storage-Tool-Only-P3240/303579585?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&&mtc=Shopping-VF-F_D25T-G-D25T-025_009_PORT_POWER-RYOBI-NA-NA-SMART-2231655-WF-SMARTSHOPPING_Q1Q2PLUS+UP+PL2&cm_mmc=Shopping-VF-F_D25T-G-D25T-025_009_PORT_POWER-RYOBI-NA-NA-SMART-2231655-WF-SMARTSHOPPING_Q1Q2PLUS+UP+PL2-71700000083187721-58700007049582706-92700063451361509&gbraid=0AAAAADq61Uf44TVrdi0IoMCg2FaoNUc6P&gbraid=0AAAAADq61Uf44TVrdi0IoMCg2FaoNUc6P&gclid=Cj0KCQjww4OMBhCUARIsAILndv6CtNQ2Xy59j0vdBGrDUAnmos5ZIqY8z0YB838MBPsKSHsMoAUBTpwaAkrDEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds...See MoreRelated Professionals
