Comments (41)Dana - I have swollen buds also on MM. I was worried cuz the roots were so short. The other Peaces have some some big swollen buds also. I have about 40 roses arriving next month plus some other perennials. I'm planting a hillside so DH doesn't have to mow there. I'm lucky; have 2.5 acres...lots of room. I am getting Country Dancer also along with some other great Bucks. Yesterday was great outside - 69 degrees!; cut down all my clematis and cleaned out some hydrangea beds. Now talking snow again tonight and tomorrow. What a tease! Also forgot ...have lots of clematis to offer also. They can be white or purple..they spring up all over the place. -t...See MoreReally want the moonlight effect!
Comments (11)You can get it for cheaper than that, depends on how big your tank is. Coralife makes a nice little clip on LED for $13. You can get larger ones for a bigger tank, or get more of them. Most of the ones that are built into strip lights are designed for reef tanks and the daylight part would overpower a freshwater tank, so it really depends on your specific application. Here's a link to the light i referred to earlier at Big Al's aquarium supply. Fish do need a dark period to keep their circadian rhythms synced properly, but apparently the blue light spectrum does not disturb them. You could use it as a dawn/dusk simulator too if you had it on a timer so it came on about an hour before your main lights, and then went off when you went to bed. That way the fish would have a more natural light transition as well as a period of true darkness, and you'd be able to enjoy them the entire time you were awake. Here is a link that might be useful: Coralife 3/4 watt LED moonlight...See Morewhere do you place Moonlight Sonata?
Comments (18)Whew--thank goodness, Andrea! You know how it is with communicating this way--I thought that your signing off with your name, in the posting after mine where I referred to you as *mink*, after so many previous posts, and not doing that meant you prefer I stick to the original! :o) Sometimes I hate this way of chatting--it's so hard to read one another and I wonder how many times I've taken offense when none has been intended--and then there's the other side where I should have been offended and didn't realize it! LOL In that case--it's better to be oblivious, I guess! About names and how people respond to any 'tweaking' of them, my hubby walked up to the father of a little girl at our church who has taken a *mutual* shine to our 9 yr. old grandson and said, "Aren't you *Abby's* father?" (we're really good friends with her grandparents) and the father responded, completely straight-faced: "No, I'm not the father of any *Abby* but I do have a daughter named *Abigail*!" Well, quite natually my husband felt very uncomfortable continuing to try and dialog with the man who didn't do anything more to make him feel like he possibly was a man of dry-wit and not really offended. Our grandson calls her *Abby* as do a lot of the kids so we had no idea that it was apparently not appreciated to be calling her anything but *Abigail*! Sigh! So--I need to be careful and sure those I like to mess with their handles, are okay with it--so I'm just checking with you *Mink*! ;^)) Oops--sorry about the hi-jack! (more blushing):^/...See MoreHallson Gardens, You Say?
Comments (17)WOW Don ... never too many hosta.. Your count is still growing! How is your room for more? I made a section 2 1/2 ft. x 50 ft. by my husband's wood shed( so he won't pile STUFF) I planted English ivy to climb and have room for hosta under/around/ in front of vines . I know the ivy is invasive but it is in an area I can mow around if it gets crazy and also hides a metal siding. Stained glass is such a nice one but never saw Mojito offered locally but it looks very nice. Moc I really like your Key West. Hallson give you bonus with your orders? Your selections are so great in the US.. lucky ducks!...See Moremsmeow
