That’s problematic, safety-wise. Even though the internet is flooded with images of beautiful bathrooms with chandeliers over tubs, in most cases (unless the ceiling is extraordinarily high) it’s a SERIOUS code violation. Now, back to the excessive heat issue: Where’s the exhaust fan? If it’s located in the water closet, chances are the steam from the shower is the culprit, if not a major contributing factor, to the excess heat. An exhaust fan needs to be in the same room as the air it’s exhausting, properly sized, and vented to the outside.

@katinparadise the paint is finally complete! So below is the paint finish, but I still need a new door and lights. To be totally honest, I feel the body is a bit too light and the trim is way too white. I feel it should be somewhat creamier. But anything is better than what I had before. I’m thinking if I should have the trim repainted to not look so stark white... As for the door, I’m leaning on a steel foot that looks like wood. My painter suggests not getting anything dark as he says “will look like a big square dark thing”. What do you think? The carriage look is nice; not sure if I can pull it off since it’s wide for two cars. And I just went shopping for the light.... I think I’ll have a better idea once I install the door. thoughts?

Cute house. I like lighter colors in hot sunny climates, since they do a better job of reflecting the suns heat. Dark gray just sound hot, even with the shading that you have. How do you feel about pastels? Given the vintage of your house, it wouldn't have been unlikely for it to have originally been pink, or yellow, or mint green. Are you familiar with the imaging tools offered by paint manufacturers? You can upload a photo of your house and use tools to define areas for painting ("wall", "trim", "door") and then try out different colors. They are pretty easy to use. Here's a link to Benjamin Moore's but most brands have something similar.

Thank you for the feedback - MUCH Appreciated. - I'll check out the Garage Door windows. The Garage Door definitely needs painting! Yes FL - We are in SW FL - Near Sarasota. I'm thinking about SW Urbane Bronze for the gutters and possibly the siding. The siding I'm struggling with - SW Evening Shadow or SW Crushed Ice also 2 that seem to be recommended with Alabaster which is the 'safe' color choice for the body. Greek Villa (another thought) seems to have a slight pink undertone. Unfortunately you can't really see the front door, except when is the front porch area. But it's a sweet sitting area with a lot of potential. We also need new screening in that area and will go with the dark bronze to match the pool cage. This small area has siding, stucco and the door to figure out paint colors that will work together There is a slight grey/blue in the roof shingles which is why I thought that could work. But then again I'm spinning and looking for help and appreciate the advice! The landscaping also 30 years old so that's a project coming soon. Along with interior needs. The house is deceiving in size. Inside it opens into an split & open floor plan with cathedral ceilings.
