This was an old victorian style home in an urban location that was remodeled and opened up for tours. As part of it, they turned the property over to a bulb company who used the yard for a test garden and for photographs for their catalog. There were so many flowers blooming...incredible.

When I took my tree down I was gathering the ornaments first, instead of boxing them up a bit at a time. After a while I wished I had thought it out better. I liked the way it looked.

Hoodoos in Bryce Canyon

Can’t believe that I ran into the word baggywrinkle twice in ten minutes since Bragu used it on one of the chain reaction threads.

I just learned the word when the tall ship came into port. Not being a sailor, had no idea what that “seaweed looking stuff”, was called or the importance. The officer took me over to show me how to make and also had a display of baggywrinkle. At 82, I still have a lot to learn in life. I have a curious mind, attribute it to being an accountant . We had wonderful day with the Coast Guard and so proud of their jobs on ship. Extremely bright, young and old, men and women. I now want to be a sailor when I grow up.

I couldn't decide. A wonderful salad or the tulips at our zoo, so I'm giving you both.

Our zoo plants thousands of bulbs every fall and then after they flower, the bulbs are dug up and sold to the public. That's a lot of work on both ends!!
