yes, I received a " Friendly Reminder " message saying that : While we understand the need for watermarks on photographs, if you choose to use your website url as your watermark, we cannot allow those photos to be shared on our forums." My watermark is my website address, so now when posting photos I must erase the .com that comes after dervissdesign.

You are not delusional, Sheila. I saw the thread you are referencing just last night. I'm fairly sure it was the same thread that was linked above, but if definitely had more recent updates. I just read it last night, but I can't remember what the most recent book suggestions were unortunately. Strange that the thread exists but without the most recent comments!

I didn't read the whole thread, and honestly can't remember the title of the post but it had to do with opinions. If political opinions were part of that thread, I didn't read them. My opinion was simply: What a boring world this would be if we all had the same opinion on everything. And followed up with pretty much what I said above: how you react to that opinion is on YOU not the person who tries to incite an argument. You can yell at your monitor and not respond, or you can hammer away at your keyboard and give your opinion. Most times, it's easier to walk away. mailfleur03, I have my own FB group: Iphone 11 photo group, and I have one simple rule: no advertising or sell whatsoever. Only those posts have been removed. I've had the group about a year now and while it's still building and slow, people stick to the subject: pictures taken with an Apple iPhone 11 series. I also belong to a "secret" FB group that was started years ago when BHG removed a thread about "Shaving Down There". Best thread EVER! A group of us left the forum and started our own Yahoo Group. Then when FB got popular, we moved there. There's only a few of us, but in the TWENTY YEARS we've been together we have NEVER had a single argument and trust me we talk religion and politics a lot, especially now. It CAN be done.

without naming names and being deliberately vague.... It's rare to see a thread poofed over on the Kitchen Table. There are all kinds of knock down, drag out fights there, and a poster or two has a habit of getting personally nasty toward other people. It's rare to see those kinds of posts, or indeed even the whole thread, disappeared. Conversations here go missing all the time. My theory relates to the kinds of conversations which may bother certain people. I don't think the board overlords do diddly anymore. If they did, there would be more clean up over on the KT. Instead people are allowed to be all kinds of obnoxious over there. I could certainly be wrong. Maybe they're solely looking for certain kinds of threads, and personal attacks are of no interest to them. Who knows.
