Does this piece of art work in my room (w/pics)?
Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreThe art consultant sent me a proposal for art in my living room! Comments (65)This OP has posted several dilemmas lately. I started reading this one from the onset and yes, there are several of the more critical posts missing. She clearly was happy about the selections and appeared to want validation from the people that had helped her with her other dilemmas. One of the first comments on my first dilemma on here was devastating to me and left me very upset. Fortunately, I have a thick skin and just flagged it and then along came some wonderful people to help me. Sometimes certain contributors just go too far. I’ve seen many OPs run off from this forum, but this is the first I’ve seen someone completely delete their account. THINK before you comment people! Comments (12)enduring, when someone signs up for a houzz account, they have to choose a user name that shows in their posts (can be the same or different name that they use to sign up). If they don't choose one, houzz automatically assigns one of the HU ### to them and it's what appears in their posts. Most people signing on are not hanging around long enough to figure out the fine details of using their accounts, so they just keep the ###'s then they disappear ;-) HU= houzz user...See MoreGreat space to create art room/guest room
Comments (6)Thanks everyone. While I was waiting on suggestions I came up with same idea from Karen, now I have to find comfortable twin sleeper chairs. I thought of Murphy Beds but chairs would be nicer use of space to provide reading and relaxing area. I am going to float a large table in middle of room, with fun chairs, and storage on either side of large window and easels in front of the window. Is there a fast way to add a screen shot to comment sections?...See Moreizeve
