I personally think it is a mistake to only think in terms of the one area. Remember, when a door is opened, its color shows into that other area. Also, that whole room becomes visible from some viewpoint simultaneously with the other area. Whatever the white chosen, makes sure it is agreeable with other color choices in the house. Using a common woodwork color will simplify your life, and ultimately lower your painter's estimate for your job. Also keep in mind that many of the "clear" white colors contain little or no lamp black or raw umber. What this means is that you sacrifice the covering ability of that white, i.e. you may well have to do 2 coats to get the old woodwork color blanked out.

Totally understand the dilemma of trim that “came With the house” repainting trim is expensive If the color on the walls in the pic above the latte pic is natural tan, i don’t mind it. But I do see some green undertones in the natural tan swatch which is why it might be making your trim look yellowish. On the wall in that pic though i see what you mean by bluish dirty gray. I don’t dislike the color, but i see how it’s not what you were going for. By cut it, i mean make it 60%. Tell the Sherwin will people and they‘ll know exactly what you mean. Decreasing the darkness/depth will increase the light reflective value. Accessible beige at full “strength“ will be dark like the latte. You want half strength or 60% accessible beige. Show them the depth of natural tan and tell them you want accessible beige at that depth. they will know better than me what percentage will get you the same depth. They do it for me all of the time. They can make a little 4 dollar can for you to try. Also, off the top of my head, i think sherwin Williams worldly Gray might look nice. Try grab the Sample card of that while you’re in there. It’s a really really pretty color and the right depth.

You made the right choice! It looks great and definitely is not too dark in your room. Also, I like that it's the same as your adjoining entryway (and coordinates beautifully with your kitchen).

First I will say I have never used LVR to decide wall coolr in any space . I use my eyes if I like the color in the space that is all that amtters. I woudl never use SW alabaster for trim but now you have it. So IMO use that same color everyhwere ina matte finish for the walls The spaces not seen toghether can be something different and if bedrooms they can even have different trim. I much prefer a crisp white for trim or else the wall color in semi gloss. Maybe share some pics of your sapces you migt get some good ideas that you have not considered for wall color.
