The first prayer plant I had I killed by over watering. There is a fine line between too much and not enough for these plants, and they are not recommended for beginners. Toni is right, you have over potted and now the plant could have problems from too much water. Think about it this way - the plant has a small root system, even though it was growing out of a 4 inch pot - if you put it in a pot three times that size, you have a plant with a 4 inch pot size root system now sitting in a big pot, it's roots surrounded by alot of wet soil. THe plant can only use so much of the water in that soil at a time, so it sits there staying too wet, the wetness keeps oxygen from getting thru the soil and down to the roots, it takes way too long to dry out because the water is not getting utilized by the plant....the whole soggy mess is a recipe for root rot. When repotting a plant, you should only go up to the next size pot, in your case you should repot into a 5 or 6 inch. This is the first thing you should do. Expect the plant to take some time to recover from the trauma of being repotted twice in such a short time. Once you repot, water lightly, use your misting tray and put the plant either outside in the shade or inside in indirect light and just let it alone for a while. Check it every few days to see if it needs water by sticking your fingers at least an inch or two down into the soil and feeling for wetness. When it starts to feel on the dry side down that deep, try watering lightly again. Don't water if the soil feels at all wet, more plants are killed from over than underwatering, best to water when it feels more dry - being a bit dry for a day or so will not kill it like root rot from overwatering will. Don't stress too much if it does not make it, it could have had issues when you got it, and this variety IS a tricky one.

I repotted the black and red and split them in to 2 pots one for my mom and one for me. I really didn't like the look of the roots but well see how they do now.

You can't be afraid to give your plants sunlight. If your christmas cactus is doing okay in the light it's receiving, then your Maranta leuconeura will do just fine. I grow mine outdoors during the summer. In fact, it's still outdoors. I keep it on my front porch, which faces north. So it receives plenty of bright, indirect sunlight all day long. I don't ever mist any of my plants, or place them on pebble trays full of water, and they still do just fine. Since it's outdoors, I just spray it down with my garden hose. When I bring it back indoors, I still keep it well watered. I don't mist it indoors either. I grow it in a hanging pot and place it in my bathtub and give it a good shower every once in a while. Those look like water spots on your plant's leaves. Most likely from misting them. This is back when it was blooming. The flowers are so tiny, I almost didn't even notice them. Each individual flower doesn't last very long, but more open up to replace them. It stayed in bloom for quite a while.

Hi, Lottie. Wilting comes from roots' inability to move enough water to the plants distal parts to keep them turgid - pumped up with water so they don't wilt. Water uptake is an energy-driven process that MUST take place in the presence of oxygen. The plant literally BURNS (oxidizes) sugar to provide the energy needed for roots' metabolic processes. You need a soil that provides an adequate volume of air, even when the soil is holding all the water it can, if you're to avoid a constant battle with your soil choice over the vitality of your plant. To some degree, perlite limits the amount of water a soil can hold, but it actually does little to increase aeration unless it's an overwhelmingly large fraction of the soil. You can 'see' this in your minds eye by imagining a jar full of pudding. Envision adding 50% perlite to the pudding and ask yourself how much you have improved aeration. The answer is. not at all. The same is true when you add perlite or other large particles to water-retentive soils. A pint jar full of marbles has very large spaces between the marbles, but 10 marbles added to a pint jar of water-retentive soil does nothing to increase aeration. The key is to START with a very large fraction of coarse ingredients (like pine bark), and add a little perlite and some fine material (like peat) to bring the water retention level up to something that doesn't require you to water every day - though using a soil that requires daily watering offers much better opportunity for plants to maximize realization of their (genetic) potential than soils that only need watering on weekly basis or longer. I don't know how much interest you have in exploring how your soil choice impacts your ability to help your plants realize their potential, but this would be a good starting point.
