Based on the current perspective, I would plant flowering vines that suit the conditions. You don't say where you are located or what kind of sun exposure you have there to get more specific plant suggestions. Adding photos that show what is to the left and right of this spot might get better ideas. The current view is largely of hardscape and I would want to soften that with plants, but you may have a good balance from another view. If you look out on this area from windows indoors, I would definitely add plants. Adding a TV (which is an idea I don't find appealing) would involve digging up a bunch of stuff to run power out there unless you already have it. That seems like a lot of disruption of finished work.

Agree, pretty house & congrats! A wreath on the front doors (looks like you could do two, hard to tell but it looks like a double door?). Agree with Mary, some lights on those front hedges (they sell white netting lights at Walmart or Home Depot that are so easy, you just lay them over the shrub like a blanket). I'd also place a planter with evergreens or some birch tree logs/branches wrapped in a festive red bow against the stone wall between your garage doors. Also sold at Home Depot and if you remove the bow after Xmas, you can keep it there all winter.

Definitely leave it bare. I would concentrate on the plantings below, such as something tall-ish on both sides of the window. People here can do mockups for you. Sorry, not your question but just a suggestion. At some point I would remove the shutters since they're too small for the window. It's not really the right style window for shutters, and you have the nice, white trim around it.

I just bought a lantern like Jinx posted. I think I am going to attach the greenery to the top because it is open and when it snows here if I don't close off the top somehow, the interior of the lantern will get snow in it, and then it will melt, etc. It came with a battery operated candle in it. I took a photo of the lantern on the hook, but I am in a rush so can't post it yet. The hanger is decorative so not sure I should cover it up, but perhaps attach some greenery to the post . . .
