My kitchen window sill is full of little souvenirs from our travels.

Here is a cat from Bratislava and a bear from Banff

This little horse was purchased here in the USA in the 1960's, but her label says "Kuntzlerschutz, Made in West Germany". She's small enough that she stands on a doorframe. I've always liked her pert expression :-)

nhbaskets, what's the medium for that? Is it fabric? Paper? It looks like it would make a great quilt block.

I’ve got quite a bit of this traditional pottery given as gifts to me over the years.

On my kitchen window - a shot glass from Iceland with sea glass I collected from the shores of the Irish Sea in Northern Ireland. I always thought that I'd make something from these little souvenirs but decided I liked looking at them whenever I'm standing at the sink.

My Dh worked with a young woman from Thailand. Every time she went back to her homeland, she brought me something.

This fan is on the wall above the headboard of our bed.

And this string mobile of turtles hangs in the window above the kitchen sink. Turtles are a symbol of good luck in Thailand.

DD likes to bring me elephants from her travels. These are from India and Thailand.

The middle wooden one is a block for blocking printing.

She also gives me turtles.

When people see these they say, “oh, you collect.....”. No, please no I do not.

Just these from my daughter :)
