Comments (5)I first painted my wood cabinets nearly 32 years ago. They were still fine when I changed the paint color 13 years ago. They were still fine when I replaced all the cabinets 2 months ago. I used a de-greaser to clean them, then a light sanding and then a very high quality primer. Then two coats of oil base enamel. Wore like iron! I would have handpainted our new cabinets, but I'm too old to do it myself, and a really good cabinet painter would have charged me a fortune, so I got factory painted finish. I doubt it will hold up as well as the old oil base paint....See MoreIs this a bad paint job?
Comments (20)This happened again yesterday and I was about to start another thread when I remembered that I had already started a thread. I haven't used this exercise ball in a while and I didn't realize my cleaning lady pressed it up against the wall. I went to move the ball yesterday and a giant chunk of paint came off with the ball. Much worse than the first time. I attached photos. Seems like this is going to be a constant battle as long as I have this ball in my gym. FML I assume that getting the wall re-painted will not change things, as long as I have this type of ball and this paint in the room, it can happen again. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Perhaps a different primer?...See Morewhat color to paint my paint my cabinets
Comments (3)Change out your lightbulbs before doing anything more. Use led daylight 4000k light bulbs. Everything looks yellow in your kitchen from the lightbulbs you have. I wouldnt paint the cabinets either, since they appear to be in great condition, but, I would sure be painting the walls quickly....See MoreKitchen cabinets - Paint Ready v. Comments (1)IMO if apinted is what you want go MDF for all painted cabinets with a factory finish for sure . All painted surfaces can chip but the factory baked one less often. Painted wood has no advantage IMO and MDF just works better since it does not expand and contract so no issue with seeing the tiny spaces in a painted wood form that movement....See Moreptreckel
