Question About Freeze Damaged Daylilies

I live in Texas, 2 hours from Houston. We got hit by the polar vortex, temps got to 3 one night and in the teens the rest of the week. Before the storm, most of my daylilies were up and growing, very green, beautiful new growth. Now, they are flattened and the new growth frozen and battered. Should I trim off this beat up foliage? Let them regrow naturally? Have never had this happen before. They are a pitiful lot and though I know they will survive, have no idea what to do with this mess. Thanks!

Judith
