I suggest you stay with wallpaper. A plain paint may not be formal enough.

This is the wallpaper. Forgot to mention that I would like to de-formalize it a bit. Want to replace chandelier with something in a champagne color, and not quite so formal.

And then keep the same color paint pictured above the chair rail?

Do you see this green in the undertone of the wallpaper? I do, on my monitor.

Thinking first the white chair rail has to go...

Let’s say the green does work with the blue paper…paint the chair rail the green (semi-gloss) and the wall green in eggshell.

To make something like this work you will need a fabric mixing all. This isa Duralee fabric…your dining chairs work with it, as well.

Monitors are fickle, but do get the idea? Above a darker chair rail, is not a lighter champagne tone, but another dark coordinate paint.

That green undertone you see is likely the burnished gold vein in the paper. It has a green undertone. The color in the paper would actually be a deep indigo.

I love the idea of painting the chair rail. I do really love this wallpaper.

I don’t see the green in the paper, but that could be because I don’t love green🥺. I think I get the idea. Could I paint the area above the wallpaper deep blue? Or is it too much?

😂. That’s why the window treatment is on the floor. I didn’t like it either. I looooovvvvvve what you’re showing me. BUT, I also dislike the chandelier we have a lot! I would love to paint the entire wall deep indigo to blend with the wallpaper. Do you think it could work? Or am I crazy. I love the drama you’re showing me!

I love your ideas. I will pull out some of my blue green paint samples to evaluate. You know much better than I do. I will say that whatever color is above the chair rail, it definitely has a green undertone in the light. You’re so much help, I’m going to look at samples, then can I check back with you?
