Need help fixing touch up painting job

Ed

So new to this painting thing, here's the situation. Had the door and frame replaced so needed to touch up around the sides of the door. It doesn't look all that great and I think I failed in researching this. First thing I think I did wrong is I used a different brand of paint as didn't think it made a difference. I also probably should've put it on lightly.

In any case, need to fix it. Seems like here are my options: 1) buy the right brand of paint and go over the areas I touched up. I would only need a quart so not that big of a deal. 2) Paint the whole section of the wall using the new paint. This is my foyer area in a condo so this would be a small section but then wall angles like 45 degrees. So could I paint just the section by the door (see first pic)? Or would I also need to paint the sections directly next to it (see second pic)?
