Had to dig-up tulip and hyacinth bulbs in late winter - what next?

Hi all. I do not have much gardening experience, so I am hopeful that you all can provide some guidance.

My family recently inherited a home that was in very bad shape. Unfortunately, we had to arrange for the house to be demolished and demolition is scheduled for next week. The home belonged to my great aunt and uncle who had a beautiful garden. In an effort to save some of the plants closer to the house before demolition, I dug up a bunch of tulip and hyacinth bulbs yesterday. We are in New England, so we are still having very cold temps and snow, but most of the bulbs I found were already starting to sprout under the frozen dirt and snow. My question is: what should I do with them now? Since they are sprouting, I suspect I should get them back into soil asap. Is it okay to just replant them in my yard in the cold, or should they go into a container in a garage or unheated porch?

Thank you all in advance!
