Comments (6)This rose is not boring at all, it has many shades of pink and has the delicacy of a cherry blossom. One of the most beautiful things in spring is the falling rain of cherry blossom petals, so for me it would be a reall pleasure to see the falling rose petals flying in the wind and covering the ground with color and the air with intoxication, like a rain, like snowflakes, like showers....See MoreFour Mysteries: Pink, Red, Pink & White Mini, Pink/Peach HT
Comments (26)I agree that the red is Chrysler Imperial. I had it, Mirandy, and Mr Lincoln in the same garden in WA. Mirandy is a different red, Mr Lincoln a different form. I think your last one is either Peace or Chicago Peace. Blossom color on both varies with temperature & acidity of soil. Even the spring & fall bloom colors will be different. I have a climbing Peace that never manages a spring bloom due to winter die-back but this year produced a fall bloom and the color was exactly like that of the rose in your picture. Sorry, no pix of it....See MoreHelp with working with pink bath.
Comments (7)Thanks for the suggestions. I just came back from BM with some color cards and I found 3 sample paints that I'm going to try. I have to get to cooking in a minute so I'll check my colors later to see if I came back with any of the gray colors you suggested, teacats. I was considering greenish grays, but I didn't bring back any samples or color cards. Also, thanks for the mirror link. My first choice for a mirror was a rectangle swivel mirror that I've seen from RH and PB. BF says no swivel mirrors. Something about the walls have to exactly square and level and blah blah blah. I think it would be a good idea, especially since I'm short and he's tall so it could be swiveled to our individual heights. I have to let him get his way some times. He's the one who does the work!Compromise -- sheesh! I bought a light set last year (that not up yet). The elecrician already put the light box for overhead lights. Now I don't even know if I like those lights. I keep changing my mind! Thanks...See MorePINK & BLACK KITCHEN - backsplash ideas, HELP !?!?!?
Comments (36)Since you clearly like pink -- and your color choices thus far seem to have turned out very well, fully living up to your own high expectations -- rather than detract from your original color choices with something trying to steal attention, consider using only a single row of 4" black tiles as your backsplash and leave the rest of your backsplash walls painted pink. If you choose a patterned backsplash, you may end up with a totally different look ... one that is too "busy" for the white and pink and black color contrast to be fully appreciated. Also, and, I think, importantly: It's much easier to decorate and redecorate a painted wall as your tastes or needs change over time if you have a painted wall than it is to decorate and redecorate a tiled one. You could add a spice rack and/or a magnetic knife rack and/or your favorite colorful trivet(s) and/or a floating S&P& sugar bowl shelf and, with a bit of sheet rock patch and paint, remove them without leaving any telltale trace (holes in tiles) that they were ever there. DO save some of your pink paint for any touchups so you can be sure to match it should you want or need to do so....See MoreUser
