Comments (29)I haven't seen that granite in person, but wow yours is so glossy and beautiful. Love the way it looks with your cabinets; the peninsula looks soooo pretty. Don't like the marble BS with your granite. Agree with palimpsest that the scale and pattern of the movement is too similar to that in your granite. They'll end up fighting rather than complementing each other. Of the glass I like the one in the middle. More neutral than the others and looks to go very well with the color of the floors. I don't think it's stark. The subway is a great shape that melds with the traditional ( transitional?) style of your cabs, but the glass has a modern feel and goes well with your fabulously glossly granite which is the star in that kitchen. Keep it simple. BTW, no matter what the backsplash or what the GC says, no No NO to the 4" granite BS! If you have more of the glass tile, yes please post a picture with several in place so we can see how it looks and please show us whatever else you find!...See MorePaint help:Pink tone backsplash, creamy Cambria Bradshaw counter
Comments (2)I wouldn't use the same color in the kitchen and LR. I'd take advantage of needing to paint only two small areas of wall in the kitchen and paint them in a very bold, saturated color, completely contrasting with your white cabinets. If you're going with a beige in the family room, I'd go with either a chocolate brown or a deep burgundy in the kitchen....See MoreNeed Ideas/Help/Suggestions on Kitchen Backsplash & .......
Comments (7)Furletcity, you have actually been very helpful. I hadn't thought about raisig the height of the window covering go give more height. I guess I've been thinking inside the box. Do you have a particular color of roman shade in mind? I'm not sure what salmon/pink cast looks like but the tile color is called illusione caramel. Sorry you had to go back and forth. I don't know how to post the pictures inside the messages without using links. I'm not sure about the scale either. Other suggestions for a backsplash? TIA. Roseabbey. Thanks for your suggestions. I wasn't thinking of using matching granite tiles for the backsplash but rather using one of the canaletto tiles with 3X3 granite inserts. You are right that the counter is dark. Do you have any thoughts as to what kind of cabinet lighting? Thanks again. Keep the ideas coming. TIA...See MoreHelp with kitchen backsplash ideas!
Comments (4)I just had a light gray glass 3x12 subway tile backsplash installed with my white cabinets. My granite has similar colors to what you picked. You need to wait for your counters to be installed before you pick the tile. I was debating between a lighter and darker gray and ended up going with the lighter. Now that it's in I think the dark would have looked nicer. Too late now. Anyway, here are pics, with and without the under cabinet lights on. The grout is not in yet as it's on backorder....See Moreilikefriday
