Ceramic wall tiles, slightly under 6", how to find replacements?

Hubs and I are re-grouting the ceramic tiles on the walls of our walk-in shower. They were there when we bought the house. Some of the tiles are cracked, and we figure might as well replace them now if we can. Trouble is, the ones that are there are slightly less than 6 inches, even though they look like standard 6 inch tiles. They are 5 and 13/16 inch tiles, or to put it another way, 3/16 of an inch smaller than a 6 inch ceramic tile. The 6 inch ones won't fit into the spots that would be created if we chipped out the cracked tiles. How could we possibly find some slightly smaller white ceramic tiles? We already looked at our local Home Depot. We have no idea where the original tiles came from, no tile stores locally. We figure we'll either have to drive to a bigger city or order online . . . Anyone dealt with this issue?
