I bought wallpaper (my designer inspired beachy boho bedroom so far)
Comments (2)My SO is in home building and remodeling, he says that bamboo is very popular, although so is the pergo type stuff. But if it was a small room, I would go with a real natural product. My brother did a cork floor in his bedroom, he likes it but it was very difficult to install and you have to seal it He likes it because it is less allergenic than carpet and soft underfoot. He installed it himself with a friend helping him. Bamboo has a beachy feel, but I would be concerned that because it has such a strong grain that it would fight with the rug and walls. I might seriously consider cork. But another option is real linoleum, (the kind made from wood) because it is very similar to cork and does not require the sealing. Comments (3)Cute pup. Just a thought: Agree w/Patricia. If that cute pooch is left in the guest room to make its own choices, that bed will be a pet bed rather than a guest bed. Not a fan of wallpaper; real chore to change later. Would probably repaint … then you could consider adding 4" wallpaper TRIM tape at the top of the wall next to the ceiling to help create the theme/color scheme you want for the room. Wallpaper rarely lends itself to art in a complimentary way. If you have already decided on wallpaper, I like the third one for its two-color options; second, I'd pick the second, less bold colored one. The only way I'd want the first "busy" one would be if it were only going to be on one short accent wall and the rest of the room painted in a pale version of the same green....See MoreBedroom: Wall paper and table lamps?!
Comments (19)So much better, so glad. 1. You could place your dresser on other wall as you enter and move chair to opposite side and create a little reading area. May have to play around with accessories, art, proportions and layout. Keep experimenting to get it right. 2. You could move chair closer to window, switch dresser to that wall and add a bench with large art on opposite wall. Then add crystal lamps to nightstands and you’re done. Comments (9)Thanks everyone. Jessica....so true! I initially was looking at wallpaper that I thought other people would like or “was expected” and then realized that this is MY room. I’m really happy that I went with what I love instead....See MoreMarco Morandi
