Reasonably Priced 5ft Soaking Tub Recommendations?? Pic!
Comments (12)We are remodeling two bathrooms. Looked at the Princeton Americast (also at Lowe's) for our daughters' bath - it does feel like a solidly built tub. May, in the end, just refinish the turquoise tub that came with the house. It looks brand new but we don't care for the color. For our master bath, we are looking for a freestanding, pedestal tub. Fell in love with a Victoria and Albert's tub at a local bath store but it is $$$$. Saw something similar online - made of a composite resin called Aquastone. Price is much less than the V&A tub and it is only available online (can't sit in it before ordering!). Have any of you heard of the manufacturer - the Aquatica group? Or this material? Could only find a few reviews online (which makes me rather nervous!) Thanks....See MoreSuggestions for a 5' Cast Iron Deep Soaking Tub Please
Comments (7)Thanks to all; cat mom, writersblock and nycbluedevil. I should have mentioned that the tub will be open on three sides to allow 30" at either end for a wheelchair to pass through. The Toto 1525 won't work but the Toto 1500 should work. It is about 60x36x22. I would have to build a 3" frame and I'm not certain how that would look, most surrounding decks seem to be about 6" wide. The other possibility is the Kohler "Reve" freestanding which finishes at 67" but it is pretty pricy. Has anyone sat in the Reve? I am going to check on the AS this morning and I am looking for the Greek. Thanks so much for your suggestions....See Morebest slipcovered sofa that won't break the bank?
Comments (10)wow, thanks so much for all the great info! Unfortunately I have to do most of my shopping online (or drive about 3 hours one way) to look at the brands I'm looking for. Although hubby and I may take a drive in the next few weeks, I'd like to have it narrowed down at least by then. Hubby is NOT a shopper and complains about his legs hurting after only walking around for about 30 mins (funny how he can play basketball for 3 hours and not complain - ha!) I had not seen PB's performance twill fabric, but if it gets out stains that easily I'm DEFINITELY all over it! Thanks for the tip! And nmladybug, that is horrible that you spent so much for a piece of junk sectional! I'm so sad for you! I was actually considering the Pearce sofa so thanks for the advice. Do you know who the manufacturere of your sectional is? Thanks again for all the suggestions and I'll keep ya posted :)...See More54” non-soaking tub recommendations?
Comments (10)@Patricia Colwell you are right that soaking tub options are the way to go. I didn’t see many 54” tub options that weren’t labeled “soaking”. I would have done a regular shower instead, but a tub is great for resale value and this was the best place to put one In my house. This tub will largely be used as a shower as my kids get older. also, what I meant by usable space is the dimension of the inner basin/bottom of the tub. My tall husband can at least sit in the Kona tub without bending his legs. I am thinking for the rare times this tub is used for a bath by an adult, we can get some waterproof cushions to lean against....See MoreAJCN
