Obviously the more you can do the better. I’d start with:
Removing the cabinet. Paint. Rug and new furniture. And a new light. Less white than what you have now.
Ideally I’d redo the windows and flooring but not completely necessary. Where is this room in relation to the rest of the space?

The entrance is where the photo is taken. This living room is on my right facing in the house. Left would be the dining area.

Windows we are working on it to remove it.

What colour rug, curtain and sofas would you recommend to brighten up the place.

The flooring is marble with tinge of yellow. I dont like it but I'm going to live with it.

Rug should be last. And I would paint first. Feel like the White makes it very cold feeling. Unless you want white. But regardless I’d paint. Because the white you have is not a warm white at all. Anyways white sheers and a roller shade under that. Any couch you like is fine. I’d do something big and comfy. Personally I’d do light colored but your call.
