Calcutta Gold Backsplash Tile with Black Countertop?
Comments (76)How did you find an actual fireback to insert? I did a image search for firebacks and picked one that was shot straight on and square (easier to copy and paste squares or rectangles than ovals and other shapes). I played with the image in Paint to get it to the right size for your image. I learned this all by trial and error when I worked on my kitchen design. ...that's more gray, so I guess if I chose a gray one, then Carrara marble would probably look better that calacutta? I personally prefer the marble tile over the white subways and prefer calacatta over carrara for your kitchen. You've got a lot of white and black going on already; the gold veins bring in the warmth from your lovely wood floors (and possibly your walls, can't quite tell what color they are). I don't think you have to have everything match exactly. As long as the tones compliment each other - no cool grays with warm grays - I think you can blend a grayish fireback with near black counters and calacatta marble tile. Personally, I think that also makes for a more interesting mix....See MoreBacksplash suggestions for Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold
Comments (12)Have a look at this thread. They used Cloe Tile with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It really looks gorgeous and I've bookmarked it myself for a future project. I agree that mixing the real marble with the Silestone may not work well. But I think you can put some sample boards together for your favourite choices and lean them up against the wall to help you visualize. You can also try different grout colours on your sample boards. The Cloe tile has significant variation and I think that is a plus. The problem of matching the white of your cabinets with the white in the Silestone and another white in your backsplash can be really tough. They are never all going to be the same and if you miss on one of the choices, then something is going to look dingy. But I think the colour variation in the Cloe tile will help with that, pull all the whites and some of the colour from the Silestone together. I'm sure it will be lovely. Please be sure to come back and post photos when you're done as well as work in progress photos....See MoreWhite Fenix NTM cabinet to go with Silestone Eternal Calacatta gold
Comments (10)Just seemed to be a better white for us - as for the quartz I love the suede finish of the eternal Statuario but the fingerprints would drive me crazy. I had a sample in my kitchen and sure enough from every angle it was nothing but finger prints! I think the polished will be better for me to maintain - though I absolutely love the honed/suede look - looks more like marble for sure. I’m also worried about curry and turmeric staining - I’ve read that’s an issue and I like to cook a lot. Let me know what you end up with, will be fun for you to see all the whites! We had our kitchen designer bring them to our house so it’s all about the lighting too. You’ll like the cabinets!! :-)...See Morepaint color to compliment Calcutta Gold Quartz
Comments (2)Pretty kitchen! I have a similar countertop (though mine are more gray) and went with Classic Gray which is a warmer gray. I wouldn’t do a beige or ivory. Or you could do a darker color to add contrast since your floors are very white too. Here is classic gray next to my cabinets and counters....See More9&Co
