The multi-function oven in the Aga 36" Legacy range is small. Standard pans do not fit. I have one, and it has been very difficult to find pans that fit. There are NO large roasting pans big enough for a small turkey but small enough to fit in the oven on the market. Aga customer service is horrendous, and the pans that fit their regular ranges do not fit the Legacy. I love the way it looks in my vintage kitchen, but there are numerous problems. Do your research before you buy.

The problem I see is that downlighting, as the only source of artificial light, is usually considered a poor choice in a bathroom. Over the vanity downlighting is a particularly poor choice. It won't evenly illuminate a person's face at the mirror and creates shadows, making it difficult to apply make-up or to clearly see one's reflection. A much better choice would be two wall mounted sconces, one on either side of the mirror, or if two fixtures aren't possible, then a single light fixture above the mirror. You want general ambient light at a vanity, providing illumination in all directions, not just light shining down in a single direction, as you'll get with can fixtures. Recessed cans are fine in others areas of the bathroom, but are not a good choice at the vanity.

None of my ovens have ever had the same temperature front and back...the back half always cooks faster!” To the food, it makes no difference what kind of heat is being used. Heat is heat, simply BTUs. However, how the heat is delivered will make a big difference on how the food end up being cooked. Here is the science on heating (cooking) food. There are three main and different ways to heat up food: 1. By microwave, which I will not discuss because it’s OT. 2. By infrared radiation 3. By conduction. Before I move on, let me point out that “Convection oven” is somewhat a misnomer. It should be called “Forced hot air”, because all heat produces convection, with or without a convection fan. Infrared (IR) heating is when you are in sunlight, you can be heated up even the air temperature is freezing. Conduction is when you park your car under the sun and you first entry your car and you feel that blast of hot air. Electric oven has electric heating elements which can generate IR only. The IR hits the food and the oven walls, raising the temperature of the walls and the food, which then heats up the air, the air then heats everything by conduction. Gas heats by exothermal chemical reaction. The heat generated heats the air and any objects near the flames. The heated food and objects then heat up the air by conduction. IR is a form of light, which is electro magnetic radiation, and light travels only in straight line, therefore anything in shadows will not be heated. Furthermore, Dark color objects get heated faster. Gas heats up the air, hot air moves by convection and heats the food all around. Electric heating elements are either on 100% or off, there is no in between. When it is on, the food gets the maximum IR heating. Electric heat is 100% dry heat. Gas heat is valved from low to high and gas combustion does produces water as one of the by products of the chemical reaction. All the above, combining the particular design characteristic of the physical oven, will give you different end results, depending your cooking skills, habits and recipes. Aren't you glad you asked? :>) According to my guess-alations, you have ~34" between fridge and end of peninsula. That's gonna be a real tight fit, and a potential traffic blocker. Our peninsula is about the same distance from our beverage centre, but end of counter has a rounded radius with a bullnose edge so easier to scoot by than a hard edge like your knee wall and cabinet, AND, it's not the fridge door right there, but a cupboard that is rarely used. Can you bump the fridge into that back wall even a few inches? I like the idea of the corner sinks and cooktops. WE had a happy accident that the two appliance garages we ordered didn't arrive. WE are LOVING the extra counter space, (and we have a significant amount more than you), (though really, corner counter space is not all that useful for working). If you don't move sink there, definitely use cardboard boxes and do a mock-up, make sure the appliances will even fit. eg, our new bigger Toaster Oven wouldn't have fit in ours anyways! If you put sink in that corner, you won't need the high knee wall (no cooktop splatter to worry about), so you could eliminate the wall and stretch out your counter and create a little overhang. Again, you can never have too much counter space!
