First do not do the herringbone in the niche in fact don’t do the niche at all IMO they get skuzzy , there is no reason to want to highlight a bunch of shampoo bottles and if you are going to have a leak this is one of the weak spots in a shower. If you must do it then that herringbone needs to be somehwere else in the bathroom. As for wall color I like watery colors in bathrooms. Like these types of color. I really like the Harbour Haze .

I'm fond of Benjamin Moore's "Kangaroo" (AF-145). Grab a sample pot, if you have a Ben Moore distributor nearby, to see if it plays well with your counter. It's darker than what most folks prefer for a whole-house beige, but for me, it's the lightest I'm willing to go. :-) Looks equally great against white trim and dark espresso wood cabinets, as well as next to an adjacent navy (BM's "Hale Navy" HC-154) bathroom. I would put it in a small bathroom in a heartbeat, as long as it didn't clash with anything. I also paint the ceilings the same color as the walls, but I'm weird. lol Alternatively, how do you feel about a slightly grayed green color? Sometimes when too many beige neutrals are fighting each other, they calm down with a green thrown into the mix. (If you aren't entirely opposed to green, of course!)

In a room with no window, you can go with a color with a bit more saturation so that it doesn't wind up looking too gray.

The flooring works well with the current flooring, which appears to be taupe. (Looks pink next to the wood). What doesn't work is the pink/purple undertones of the paint with the wood. If you try for beige neutrals you are going to have to either find a neutral that works with the wood or a neutral that works with the floor. This is why I suggested a muted green that works with the floor and the wood.
