I'd be cautious about dark paint - you've already got dark floors and a very dark, heavy mirror frame. What about a shade of light yellow, or a warm beige? Get some paint chips and narrow it down to 2 or 3 colors - then get larger chips or samples to try out.

White paint might help balance the contrast in the room, but also changing the lightbulbs to more of a "white light" Will probably help the room out a bit too.

Light bulbs, would be the first thing I would change. You are getting a yellowy glow on everything with those bulbs, so it is hard to see colors like they really are. Change them to led daylight 4000k and then post more pictures please.

I'm fond of Benjamin Moore's "Kangaroo" (AF-145). Grab a sample pot, if you have a Ben Moore distributor nearby, to see if it plays well with your counter.

It's darker than what most folks prefer for a whole-house beige, but for me, it's the lightest I'm willing to go. :-) Looks equally great against white trim and dark espresso wood cabinets, as well as next to an adjacent navy (BM's "Hale Navy" HC-154) bathroom. I would put it in a small bathroom in a heartbeat, as long as it didn't clash with anything.

I also paint the ceilings the same color as the walls, but I'm weird. lol

Alternatively, how do you feel about a slightly grayed green color? Sometimes when too many beige neutrals are fighting each other, they calm down with a green thrown into the mix. (If you aren't entirely opposed to green, of course!)

Thank you, One Devoted Dame! I will check out Kangaroo! I, too, am fond of painting the ceiling the same as the walls! I did that in my bedroom, great room (that has a huge vaulted ceiling) and in my sunroom! I love that look and it doesn't shrink the room like everyone assumes!
