SW jersey cream or SW ivorie paint color?
Comments (7)I have SW Ivoire in the entry hall and upstairs hall of my house. It changes color depending on the light, but I think it's a nice yellow with a slight touch of green. If you look at the sample card, Navaho White is the lightest, then Blonde, Ivoire, and Restrained Gold. I tried Blonde but thought it was a bit too pale. How do you like it in your family room? I think it will go well with Ivoire in adjoining rooms. Ivoire: Ivoire in hall (not in LR): Restrained gold:...See MoreIs SW Oyster Bay the one?
Comments (8)Wow -- funny you found this color too. I tested a similar color in a spare bedroom I just painted, and am loving it. It's fabulous with the deep reds in a rug there, and looks lovely in all kinds of lighting: daylight, overcast days, and incandescent lights. Not depressing at all. In fact, it's uplifting. I've been thinking of color schemes since summer, changing my mind with the seasons. I wanted to try milk paint, and mixed 48 oz. of oyster white and 3 oz. of blue green on a lark, without really any thought to it, and slapped it on the walls in the room. I'm stunned how beautiful the room came out. Hope Oyster Bay is the one for you. Try a deep red as an accent, maybe you'll like that too....See MoreWill my kitchen be too dark if I paint it SW Gauntlet Gray?
Comments (27)I have dark kitchen cabinet uppers, lowers, and island (maple stained charcoal grey/brown) and a fairly dark granite. However, my floors are light light cream/grey/beige, my walls are white, and we have lots of natural light (one wall is a multi-slider solid glass, 3 windows, 6 can lights, 2 pendant lights, and under cabinet lights). It still reads a bit dark. Also, grey can become very drab. We are balancing it by adding a warm cream island wrap (back half is white sheet rock) and a warm brick-look backslash (also fairly dark). We’re happy with the overall look but it’s certainly not a “light and bright” kitchen. Sorry no updates pictures but here are the elements....See MoreOne shade darker than Oyster White & Neutral Ground?
Comments (6)SW 7531 Canvas Tan is one shade darker than Neutral Ground on the color strip. SW 7638 Jogging Path appears to be one shade darker than Oyster White. (Side note: We have Jogging Path in our hallways and kitchen and absolutely love it. It's a real chameleon color, looking greenish gray or greenish tan in our hallways but grayish green in our kitchen. People are always surprised it's the same paint color. But if you don't want your cabinets looking a little green, you might want to avoid it.) SW 7011 Natural Choice is one shade darker than White Duck but I think that's going to be too light if Neutral Ground is too light.
