Kindle Owners Library?(amazon prime)
Comments (22)I mostly use the library (which is a county wide library system and I believe may pull across the state). Occasionally though, a kindle book is not available from the library. I know sometimes amazon has promotions but I was super happy to be able to use the lending library for prime members. LOVE my paper white, and LOVE not having to wait for the library to be open to borrow from the library and or amazon. As an aside, there is another site, gutenberg.org which has all free ebooks, most of which are older and no longer subject to copyright$$. I have found some wonderful classics there (such as Three Men in a Boat)...See MoreMy new Paperwhite cover
Comments (7)I just googled and found this. Hope it works. I will be wanting to change my font as soon as mine gets here tool How do I make the font bigger on my Kindle Paperwhite? The Original Way to Change Font Size Turn on your Kindle. Swipe to unlock. Tap the top of the screen. Select the “Aa” graphic. Adjust the text to the size you desire or switch fonts completely (Caecilia is slightly larger and easier to read than Futura, for example, and Helvetica is bolder)....See MoreQuestion- converting TO Kindle Paperwhite?
Comments (8)I started to download Calibre (Caliber? Calibri?) but I am totally baffled as to what I trying to do. I think ALL the books I borrow from the library are through OVERDRIVE, and a small bunch of them are not available in the kindle version. So it's still OVERDRIVE but it seems from my very limited understanding that those "books" are accessible by me only via the web so I don't know where to find them to try to move them to my kindle. I saw some guidance about emailing them to the kindle which I think is what I did for the project gutenberg books ( to the email at myname@kindle .com) but I do not know where there other temporarily borrowed books "reside" in the interim. I think I will just be thankful that I can read them at all. I appreciate the suggestions but I think @donna_loomis may be onto something and these are not doable....See MoreGood Deal on Kindle Paperwhite
Comments (0)I saw this and since it is a very good deal, I thought I would share if anyone is thinking about getting a Kindle Paperwhite. I think all versions are on sale; this one is on sale today for $70.99 and bonus it's waterproof. Mine is several years old, and works fine so I am not in the market but I thought this was a good price and worthy of sharing. I hope someone can take advantage. I suspect links won't work but if you just google Kindle Paperwhite it should work. Waterproof Kindle Paperwhite...See More- 5 years ago
