Hi Celeste, hopefully your waiting game is over soon and your roses are starting to leave out. On the other hand for us Gardenwebbers it's not a bad thing, that you are posting pictures of your beautiful roses to pass the time until then ;-). I bet when you really can go out and work in your garden with so many projects and roses to care for you are busy like a bee! All of the roses you have posted are very lovely, but of course I have some favorites: I love white roses and Baltimore Belle seems to be so beautiful. It must be very nice to sit underneath her! Gros Choux d'Hollande has a perfect flowers shape and I love the button eye. Baron Girod de L'ain is incredible pretty with his beautiful color with the white edge, nice flower shape and strong fragrance. I think that this is a very special rose and unusual rose. I am eying BGdL for quite a while and may have to figure out if I am able to grow him here. I kept Rose de Rescht for the last, because she is the most admired rose by me of the once that you have posted this time. You have a very beautiful bush and your photo captured the essence of this rose very well (both the bush shot and the single flower). I find that her fragrance is to die for. The best thing for me is: I HAVE this rose already. I got her as a very teeny tiny band this winter and just yesterday she opened her first flower for me. I am looking so much forward for her to mature and just cross my fingers that she likes my garden and wants to develop her full potential, here. I am also very anxious to see how large this rose gets in SoCa! Thanks for posting! I am looking forward to more photos of your incredible garden!

Oh Celeste what a gorgeous rose, I shall have to watch out for that one, I love the shape of the petals, and that color, wow, I love that color. Your daughter is so beautiful, I can see why you would want a rose to grow in honor of her beauty. That tree is perfect, love it. Valerie

Like Gardengal and Morz8, they are a common sight for me where I live. There is an Osprey nest in my neighborhood and every year for the last few years the Bald Eagles set up housekeeping in the nest before the Osprey return for the season. When the Osprey arrive there is a days long kerfuffle over who is going to get to use the nest. Oh, the battle rages (I can't see them in the nest but can hear all the fussing going on from both species and both are flying all around calling and scolding for days). Then peace resumes and the Osprey always win and keep the nest. I only know that's what's going on because the same thing happens on a friend's property, only the nest is in full view. Eagles come, set up house, Osprey return and evict the Bald Eagles. I never would have believed it. Last year I went on a bird watching tour in the late fall on Hood Canal (a saltwater body of water near me). It was salmon spawning season and at the mouth of every little creek that was large enough for salmon to spawn, there were tens to dozens of Bald Eagles perched or flying waiting their turn at the salmon. Just this week a neighbor posted a pic of a fox carcass that the eagles had left and another neighbor posted that they got another fox yesterday :-( My favorite Bald Eagle experience was driving down the I-5 freeway alongside the Columbia River. A Bald Eagle came flying up from the river right in front of my car. In its talons was a HUGE salmon - so heavy that the eagle couldn't get any lift to get above the freeway (at least not quickly). So it flew down the freeway about 10 feet off the ground, right in front of my car...I had to slow to keep from hitting it. I turned on my flashers to warn the cars approaching from behind me so they didn't hit it! Finally after about 1/2 of a mile, or maybe farther, it got enough lift to get up off the road and fly away with its dinner. Stunning.

You will soon want to push the two sofas together so that their corners touch, so that he doesn’t crawl into the corner and pull down the lamp. Or, remove the lamp. Our younger, really active baby had this Activity Garden. It didn’t have all the bells and whistles the newer ones have, but it was good for him because it let him focus. His favorite thing was just to open the gate, walk through, close the gate, check the mail, open the gate, walk back, close the gate. We got it from a rummage sale, and when he was finally ready to part with it we eased the pain by giving it to the church nursery, where he could show the babies how to use it lol. He’s 20 and that activity garden is still a favorite in the nursery! (Because it doesn’t have too many books and crannies, it is easy to keep clean.) edited to add, we got a train table that was a nice, stained and sealed wood, instead of a highly-kid-centric design. The Isle or Sodor-design top could be wrapped in wrapping paper for a change of pace. It stayed set up for years, transitioning to Lego, board games, puzzles, by day, and coffee table by night, because it matched the family room decor.
